Civ V free weekend (definitely worth trying for everyone, but be aware it might sap 22 hours out of your weekend). Oh, Brave New World is coming out for Civ V soon, so we should see some pre-order bonuses somewhere (10% discount at Steam is NOT a bargain! :p).

Serious Sam Humble Bundle (mindless shooting, some great fun to be had in there if you're happy with chav-level AI).

Edit: TORCHLIGHT 2! NOT BORDERLANDS 2! TORCHLIGHT 2! WHO WOULD CONFUSE THOSE TWO?!

Borderlands 2 is 4 for a second time using code GFDJUN20UK at Gamefly. I noticed they were on TopCashBack yesterday, by the way. (Sorry, no link - Gamefly are RACIST! :p)

Edit: it's for Steam, so get it while you can. EG's legal commentator has just assured me that Steam is illegal in the EU, so may be closed down at any second. ;)

PJ - do you spreadsheet this stuff or do you just remember when it's been cheaper?

You should get yourself some sort of SavvyGamer type website.

I remember, mostly, as it's a bit of a hobby (although I can check on places like steamprices and deals4downloads, too). But I'm quitting! No more bargains! I've been quitting since December. This is going to be the month. I can feel it! I already have All The Games! :p

(And just posting here is preferable to me, as I'd like to get good cheap games into the hands of gamers first, rather than vultures elsewhere! ;))

Pingzii, is there a Gamefly.co.uk? Here, try going through your TopCashBack account: http://www.topcashback.co.uk/gamefly/

(Don't have one? Set one up! My affiliate url for new accounts is about 40-80 pages back, go and find it! ;))

Oops! Now I feel stupid - I meant to write "Torchlight 2" (I actually just wrote Borderlands 2 just a second ago trying to write "Torchlight 2", argh!). I'm sorry! That was before my morning coffee. D:

I have typed the wrong game name quite a few times before in my pre-coffee postings, but always (I hope) caught it when I checked the url... not possible when I get regionally redirected at Gamefly (or Origin), sadly!

8 is still a good price for Borderlands 2, as it comes to 7.32 with the cashback, although it's been cheaper in 4-packs before.

Sensible World of Soccer 96-97, approx 1.57 on GOG. Bought it a while back, still a fine game.

Oh, I'd missed Recettear is on sale today for 3.24. Should probably be cheaper by now (it was in a bundle with four other games on Steam for the same price a couple of summers ago). Still, pretty good game! :)

Appears to be the first discount on the "Knife of Dunwall" DLC for Dishonored: 3.99. Still seems a tad pricey to me, as it's Steamworks - I'd rather get the benefits of buying elsewhere (cashback, store credit, etc). :p

I've been quitting for over a year. :( I stopped buying games in February 2012 and every month since. (Incidentally, I only find these cheap games because I'm looking for games for ME!)

Now would be a good time to grab Rome Total War (Gold Edition) if you've fancied it, 1 on Steam. Doubt it would drop any lower than that :D

And a fine game to boot.

Both Witchers are going cheap until monday on Steam. Both Kane & Lynch games are on sale to.
• Deleted user 14 June 2013 01:34:06
Worth mentioning that Witchers (1 and 2) bought on Steam can also be redeemed on gog.com for DRM free stuff and goodies.

It's worth noting a free yet fully endorsed by CD projekt (= the dev) mod that completely rebalances combat will be made available some time soon for Witcher 2. Not even a community thing in fact but made by someone who is part of the dev team and thought that particular aspect could do with some improving.
Unlike typical devs CDP didn't reject the critique on the W2 combat - which tends to be the one aspect players dislike (if anything) - and just went with it. Makes W2 even more worth the while IMO :)

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition 7.60 (Steamworks). My favourite game! Make sure to check out the EG thread!

Indie Gala June is live, and has 3 pay tiers:
1: Creatures: The Albian Years, Pirates of Black Cove, ? Unlocks 2nd week

2: Chester, Swords of the Stars: Complete Collection, Vessel + Original Concept Art, Aquanox, ? Unlocks 2nd week

3: Star Ruler, Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes, A New Beginning Final Cut, ?, ?, ? Unlocks 2nd week

Prices are changeable. I'm tempted to spin the wheel... but I'm backlogged enough with games I know are good already! :p

They really are awesome. This game has had so much post-release support. I'm really impressed with them.

You are a factory of sadness.

Quite tempted to rebuy Dark Souls for that price - wonder if it'd go down to a fiver in the summer sales.

Wonder why I care about 2.60 so much

Interesting. I read lots of complaints about W2 being a "roll fest". I wonder if that is what it addresses?

Well, you have to dodge if you don't want to get hit but I wouldn't call it a roll fest as such.

@PenguinJim

Batman AC GOTY is 4.99

Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

W2's combat was as much a roll fest as Arkham Asylum.
