Why has tomb raider dropped so fast but bioshock has remained high! The last 2 both dropped quicker than both a literal and proverbial stone...

Ahh I have been checking, honest! It's been hard to find buyers with more than 100 feedback. Got one for 14.99 with over 2k 100% feedback. Hope it checks out. This is the nervous part about buying on ebay :)

    Another indie bundle, including:

    Section 8
The First Templar Steam Special Edition
    Legendary
    Dream Pinball 3D
    Disciples III: Resurrection
    Insecticide
    Tropico Trilogy
    Imperium Romanum: Gold Edition
    SpaceChem
    Dino D-Day

All for 3.92. Everything activates on Steam. Well worth it for Tropico 3 (which comes with the expansion) and SpaceChem alone.

Because Square-Enix is in bad financial shape (90 million loss) and 2K Games is not ?

Crumbs - this is getting crazy. Such good value but I have to hold off - they'd just sit in my library - untouched and unloved - much like everyone in this thread. ;)

I never thought to take that into account before when buying games at launch. I'll remember that :)

Edit: still waiting for that eBay seller to email my BioShock code incidentally.

Yeah, seeing how quickly Deus ex and Sleeping dogs dropped in price, I guessed TR would be cheap quickly enough too

The publisher doesn't dictate what retail sell a game for 3 months after release.

They do to a point, with the prices they charge people for the games in the first place - if they offer Steam a bulk discount to run a sale that's cool, but if they're still asking silly money then the prices'll stay high.

    They do.

Well, on some of the online download stores they do.

I meant the likes of Game and Amazon.

SimplyGames have Bioshock Infinite Steam keys for 19.99. No idea if that's the cheapest.

Is each game a separate Steam key? If so, if anyone whose bought the bundle doesn't want Dream Pinball 3D or Tropico Trilogy then let me know as I've got some games I'd be willing to trade for them.

@asha Just bought that bundle and it's separate keys for each, well technically the Tropico bundle is one key, but you get the idea :)

Edit - And PM sent Asha :)

    @PenguinJim

Would i be right in thinking that Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 are still the single player only versions ? As they are easily the best games , well compared to 3 anyway which is a dull simple hack and slash.

Just bought the humble indie bundle. My first one, as I've not had a PC capable of playing games for about nine years.

    ...

What are these Steam keys? I know about Steam, I've not been living under that many rocks, and I do use it, but are these extra versions of the game? i.e. am I getting two copies? If not, what's the point of them?

@kentmonkey You get a DRM-free version you can install, but you'd need to have that install file whenever you wanted to reinstall / etc. You can plug those keys in to Steam and then they're in your Steam library for whenever you want to install them until Valve go bust and we all start crying. You're getting two ways to access your game.

(Generally, I register the key on Steam and never even use the other version.)

@monkehhh Perfectly simple logical answer, thanks.

So, technically, two versions of the games I guess. Shame if people abuse that (considering the fantastic deal they get buying the bundle) but good of them to offer that.

For anyone who can use Amazon.com and missed the Double Fine Humble Bundle, this is pretty good: US$9.99 for Brutal Legend, Psychonauts, Iron Brigade, The Cave, Costume Quest and Stacking (all Steam).
I don't know how I managed to miss that Double Fine bundle - I've wanted to try out Costume Quest and Stacking for aaaages.

They were both in a Humble Sale recently for a dollar.

I crawled out from under my rock 5 months ago...

...I now have 130 games on my Steam account. 130 games in 5 months. I bought 6 games a year on average on my 360.
