I still play a lot of BF2 some well populated great servers. All this talk about shooters has me in the mood for that or a free Steam weekend!

I loath the things but for those with Aliens: CM the price crash continues, getgames has the season pass thingie going cheap at 6.79, kinda silly not to if you fancy bughunt, you get few maps and more to come for cheaper than the price of that alone.

    http://www.getgamesgo.co.uk/product/aliens-colonial-marines-season-pass

Forgetting the disaster of the campaign Bughunt is a great mode (shoulda been in the game *grr* make me buy a season pass *grr*), been playing it tonight and enjoyed it had a lot of fun. They have patched it up quite a bit to so it's looking quite nice now. Up to you if have the game, I thought it was worth it but then I've got the whole game and the collectors edition gubbings for 30 notes total :)

(game is a tenner to on there but I know many will wait for the magic fiver :) )

GOG is doing the Adventurer's Assemble promo consisting of mostly good point and click adventures and a couple of genuine classics.

To The Moon $3.99 - One of the best stories ever told in games. Beautiful soundtrack.

The Longest Journey $3.99 - One of the best stories ever told in games, given I don't even remember if there was any music, probably not a great soundtrack.

Dreamfall was really disappointing after the Longest Journey but objectively it was probably quite good.

Gemini Rue and Resonance are very good.

Miasmata $5.99 - This one is not a point and click. The completely conventionally monikered brothers Bob and Joe Johnson wrote their own 3D engine and created a unique experience. You are shipwrecked on an island and suffering from a fatal disease which is slowly killing you. You have to synthesize a cure before you die from the disease and 'something' which may have killed some of the research scientists on the island is stalking you. A lot of people will bounce off this game because the simulation aspects and some design choices are brutal and may make the game unnecessarily frustrating to play for some people. Examples of this, there are no guns or combat to speak of, you can't sprint everywhere, your inventory is unrealistically restricted, even knowing where the hell you are requires constant triangulation because there is no convenient marker showing your position on the map. If you're not a person who will be frustrated by the above, I thoroughly recommend this game.

To my shame despite owning the Blackwell games, Machinarium and Botanicula, I've yet to play them.

I love Fantastic Contraption. You can construct all manner of machines to finish a level and the variety of ways you can finish a level is genius. The toolset really does let you build some absolutely fantastic contraptions. Incredipede just seems to be a cute but limited and haphazard version of Northway's previous game. I bought it anyway in this sale because I do love FC I and II.

I know nothing about Scratches and Primordia.

It was alright until the instadeath maze section at which point I gave up.

Oh and you should absolutely play Machinarium, it's wonderful.

You are a factory of sadness.

Botanicula is also fecking fantastic. The environments are beautiful - the music is also some of the best I've heard.

Resonance is bloody awesome, as is Gemini Rue. Both are worth snapping up at that price.

    What's Primordia like?

    @Mr_Sleep, Dogme, caligari and ZuluHero

It's not that I don't intend to play Machinarium or Botanicula at some point. I just look at my, coming up to 200 unplayed games on my steam accounts (yes I have more than one), and wonder how the hell I'm going to find the time to play them all.

At the moment I'm playing Monaco, which is fantastic by the way, 4 player local co-op is hilariously chaotic when nobody knows what they're doing. Judging by forum activity, barely anyone is playing this game. What's wrong with you people?

I got the 4 pack from the dev site, so if any one wants a copy for 7.50 (it's currently 12 on steam or $15 on PocketWatches' site) please PM me.

The thing is, Machniarium is a relatively short game and with the exception of a few puzzles, fairly straight forward. Play it. Go on. Do it. Go on.

You are a factory of sadness.

Amazon.com have just started a huge sale today that seems to have some great prices (Dark Souls is $7.49 for example). Probably best to just link to the NeoGAF thread about it, since someone's gone to great effort compiling it all:

Was randomly looking up the Fallout 3 fix and this guide seems to get a lot of success:

@Aretak Do you need to set up a seperate account with amazon.com or will a UK site account work? Not used the US site before.

    Via Savygamer.co.uk:

'To purchase digital games from Amazon US, use your UK Amazon account, and add a US billing address to your account. This address needs to be a valid US address, but nothing will be sent there, and you can access all your games through their website. Some card issuers may charge a fee.'

I would suggest an address in Alaska due to lack of sales tax or whatever

Dark Souls is a steal at that price. Also $6 Mass Effect 3! :o (Possibly worth the extra $3 for the Digital Deluxe)

Doesn't work for me because the address needs to match the address the bank has for my card.

It's a bit strange that they have all the Assassins Creed 3 DLC on sale but not the base game.

Self-pimpage -> I have some PC components up for sale in the swapsies thread. Last chance before I decide to brave AVF for a sale. Might be something useful for someone in there that I'd rather deal with this community with!

I thought Steam get very pissy about taking advantage of currency fluctuations though?
