@Tubes Er, as far as I know you have to download it through the client. Not sure if you could get a hold of the code, but not sure if it would work anywhere else.

@Daddy-Doom-Bar I'm not sure with Gamefly but I assume you get a game key when you buy which you may be able to use to register on Origin.

I only ask as I have done it with a few games I bought at retail and they registered okay and I can download from Origin rather than keep the DVD.

Maybe it is different for games bought from other digital download sites.

Very tempted to get the Rome Total War Collection from Get Games, though I'm not sure if I should just wait for Rome 2 this year.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

@Tubes I just had a look, and the game page says you need Origin and a constant internet connection to play. So I assume the client downloads it, then installs thru Origin. Ideal.

Maybe in a bid to remind people they do sell games through their shite Uplay thing Ubi are selling some games for an excellent 2 quid. Non are stellar but well worth a look at that price.

Tintin, World In Conflict (£2.50), Silent Hunter 5 and Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood.

    http://shop.ubi.com/

(oh a Witcher 2 is 6 quid on Steam)

Good spot there bad09 :) I think I'll be going after Tintin, Silent Hunter and Juarez. Those three for £6 is a bargain!

I really think they should have lowered the price for Far Cry 2. Still over £6 despite a reduction. Oh and Shaun White's Skateboarding is £2 if anyone cares :D

In other news...........The Build a Greenlight Bundle 2 has started http://groupees.com/bagb2 Take your pick of 9 games or all of them for not much cash or lots if you prefer. When any of the games get Greenlit on Steam you get a Steam key for free :)

Gamersgate seem to be adjusting their prices ready for their Spring sale. I've had a look through, and there's nothing great or pioneering so far - except for the Jagged Alliance Classics Bundle for £2.40 (possible 5% discount with code elder-geek.com ?). I was pimping JA2 by itself on Steam for £3.50 this time last month, but this has JA2, JA1 and some expansions, too! \o/ (Although JA2 is probably all you need)

I imagine they'll actually announce their Spring Sale in roughly 63 minutes.

There's a Gothic sale on at GOG, but it's one of those fucking stacking promos they're so fond of. Given the age and relative unpopularity of the Gothic series, that's rather crazy. NO MORE STACKING PROMOS, GOG!

(Their 85% flat discount on Telltale games is much better, IMO)

Oh god another sale! *cries* :D

Just a couple of interesting additions, IMO, now: Sleeping Dogs (Steamworks) for £9.00, NiGHTS Into Dreams (Steamworks) for £2.04, and Sonic Adventure 2 (Steamworks) for £2.04.

Cheapest prices yet for those last two (and cheaper in the UK than the US), but Sleeping Dogs was US$9.99 at Amazon a couple of months ago (although this version includes the Triad DLC). Also, try code elder-geek.com for a possible 5% off (I can't test that, I don't have a discount code box!).

Nothing else stands out yet, unless you're after some A.I. War DLC? :p

Don't forget Euro Truck 2 is going for 12.50 in that Gamersgate sale! I got it for a tenner off GMG but 12.50 is a good price for it.

Those c***s raised the price by £10 20 minutes ago when they realized how popular the deal was! It's easy to check. I would have been all over that deal if I had known sooner :(

Thanks for the heads up anyway :)

It's good for a few plays, but gets repetitive very quickly.

You can get just Dragon Age for £3.74 too (if your just want the original game) but it makes sense to get all the DLC for an extra £1.25.

Aliens is going even cheaper than it's already sunk on GG, £9.67 (Apply coupon “elder-geek.com”)

    http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-ACM/aliens-colonial-marines

It deserved the bashing but PC version has had a fat patch (you'll download a 4gb patch on install) and while it still has bugs and is still pretty terrible in general there is fun to be had for a Xeno fan especially in MP (although like AvP SEGA have ensured there is not much MP content in the game so they can screw you over on the DLC).

It will go cheaper no doubt but that's not a bad price for it.

Really, really not worth it for a tenner.

    Fiver at most.
  • Deleted user 25 April 2013 17:48:55
There are so many other games that you can get for £5-10 that are great that there's no point wasting it on shit like that.

Me too, but that gives you the physical case value as well. I'm holding out for a 67p download.
