You referring to Steam? I'm getting a message that it's under heavy load.

Steam's been pretty flaky for me lately, especially anything related to community stuff.

Same here, activity feed, profile, forums, workshop, etc all taking their sweet time to not load properly or at all.

Store and Library are the only tabs that work as they should for me.

Posted from my Nexus 4, not using Tapatalk 4.

Just a heads up I was getting time out errors when downloading and the update kept loading but failing. When I re-installed Steam it crashed with a connection to internet error every time I tried to install, turned out to be a problem with my wireless dongles new driver and Steams new update a driver roll back has solved the problem. 2 days of no Steam and a lots of swearing now over.

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/game-pc-sale-3-99-3-for-10-1520926

This is a link to game's 3 games for a tenner thing - just a heads up that this also works if you put 3 downloads into your basket - e.g. Tintin is 23 download, but 3.99 physical copy. Put the download in your basket and it takes 20 odd quid off if you have two others as well.

Europa Universalis III Chronicles*, free to download at Gamefly. I think you need to download and install their client to access the game.

    * EU3 with all expansions (from what I remember).

Excellent spot, cheers vijay_UK. Europa Universalis III was one of the few Paradox games missing from an Amazon bundle I bought.

I don't think it's really about difficulty, more about finding a batshit crazy solution to the puzzles. I haven't played it though, just the impression that I got.

    Portable view - Never forget.

I know this is sad, but I'm tempted to get Rail Simulator 2013 from Gamersgate for 5. Anyone know if it's any good?

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

I got the 2012 version when it was 97% off (or something) on Steam a Christmas or two back. It's... a train simulator. It simulates trains very well. Didn't float my boat, but I remember a few EGer comments were positive.

Steam actually has a good deal today! Well... it's a repeat. But Steam so rarely has good deals nowadays, so: GalCiv2Ul for 3.24!

Picked up Silent Hunter 5 for under 3 quid from Gamersgate yesterday. All SH games are reduced, in case anyone fancies some submarine simming.

Apparently subsim has a load of mods to fix it up. For the price I thought it was worth a punt, but I won't get a chance to play it until next weekend.

Yes, but potentially quite wallet damaging. It's very therapeutic I find

Try and get one of the extended packs if they are included in the offer - I got the London to Brighton one for about 12 or something and you get quite a lot for that

Not really an offer as such but steam have poker night 2 on pre purchase for 3.99 and you get a copy of the first one for free.

Its only a poker game, but the interactions and dialogue between characters from different games is hilarious. The new one has GlaDOS as the dealer :)

London to Brighton appears to be included in Simulator 2013.

Subsim DO have loads of mods for Silent Hunter 5. It seems to be a good improvement, but I don't know the Silent Hunter series very well despite having had a lot of fun with 3, 4 and 5. Mods can improve each of these.

Sober's Mega Mod is a good place to start, but I'd disable to true navigation if you do the tutorial (or if you want to be able to see where you are on a map) Picked up SH5 Gold ages ago when UBI were selling it for 1

It's very good and well worth a fiver. I bought 2012 for a laugh but it is oddly relaxing and addictive and you get your game updated when a new one comes out (although they don't give you new routes) so even though I bought 2012 I have 2013 with it's pad support and improvements.

If you have kids they'll love it to.

EDIT - if sims are your thing Farming sim is a tenner on Steam....and of course I will mention you should bag euro truck 2 the next time it's in a sale, fucking awesome game :)

Anyone know for sure if the Silent Hunter games on Gamersgate are the Steam versions? Unless I'm blind I cant see it mentioned anywhere.

No, DRM is TAGES according to their pages and for 5 you will have use UPlay to. The awful always connected DRM has gone though thankfully.
