Yup. I've missed out on loads of their deals because it will never accept any form of payment from me.
I just tried to buy the bundle but it wouldn't take payment from Paypal or by debit card. Anyone had any problems paying with them before? -

Registered 11 years agoProbably already mentioned, but Groupee currently have their 'two games for 99p' thing going on.
Abe's Odyssey/Exodus included.
Lume looks fantastic, too.

Registered 2 years agoI'm really tempted by unity of command. It was £5 in a one day sale the other month but that was before I'd played the demo.
It seems like a really good game -

That's fair enough. GG's deals have dropped to about one pioneering low price a month now (Torchlight II, Legacy of Kain Collection and Bioshock Infinite are their only three from this year that spring to mind, other than some DLCs) - and obviously that doesn't include the free Borderlands 2s and £20 Bethesda bundles.
Prepurchasing quibbles aside, saying GG have undercut GMG is only true if their blue coins are worth the £6 you save by buying from GMG, which, to most, will not be the case.
As it stands, I'd rather get a flat discount than imaginary currency I see no point in using since the end of the IGN partnership.
But I've found that I've mostly stopped buying from them for the same reason that I've mostly stopped buying from everywhere else... I have all the games. o_O That's why I offered up the GG Bioshock Infinite pre-order for £20 - I'm not sure if I'd ever spend all those Blue Coins, but I thought someone would appreciate a flat £4 discount over GMG's price that included all of the "GMG" extras. -

I'd like to play it despite the criticism but would imagine it'll drop in price just as quickly as the console versions.

I am (was?) a Resi fangirl and I can't really honestly say it's worth €20 right now. I enjoyed some of it, but it'll drop in price more fairly soon, I'm sure.
On a separate note, I have a spare Bioshock 1 Steam key if anyone wants it. -

Registered 11 years agoIn case anybody's interested in the Steam Indie sale, Savygamer has a neat list of all the discounts. The Broken Sword trilogy for instance is 75% off, so is Choplifter HD.
There's also a new Atari weekend promo on GOG: Rollercoaster Tycoon, Master of Orion, I-War, Blood and many others are 60% off. -

Ooh, I'd forgotten that this would take their new pricing tiers into account. Finally, some new lower prices there, including Outland for $1.59 - which is amazing value considering it's 1.3GB.

I was just thinking about biting on Star Controls 1 & 2 the other day, so it must be fate to see them pop up on sale so quickly ($2.39!).
The only problem is that when I look at the 36 games in my GOG library, I've only actually played... two of them? Three? Sure, a few of them were freebies, but I seem to be throwing money at an attractive digital shelf. -

Registered 11 years agoRegarding Star Control 2, I'd recommend the remake rather than the GOG original. SC1's melee is still quite fun though.
Whatever you do, don't buy Star Control 3. It's one of the worst sequels in gaming history (and of course I had to buy it at full price back in the day... :-\).

At this rate, just wait a day or two, it'll be offered as a pre-order incentive for Bioshock Infinite.
