Cheers but unfortunately it's 49.99 to the much more palatable 37.49 on GMG
Strange. I'm in the dreaded euro-zone as well, and the deal shows up as 24 on GMG and 30 on Gamersgate.co.uk.
I've found accessing Gamersgate through their UK site allowed for purchases in pound rather than euros, without requiring further malarky. Thankfully.

It really does disgust me to see that our European brothers are fleeced so horrifically. Take to the streets and burn down your nearest Steam Embassy.

As always, I'm happy to help if anyone needs something purchased from a UK site.

Has anyone trying the Black Ops 2 Steam free weekend actually been able to get on to the server? It keeps saying the server is down for me, but not really seeing anyone on forums/Twitter confirming that.

Just a passing note - whoever linked to that Euro Truck Sim 2 for 10 last week. Fuck you. ;)

That game is more addictive than it has any right being. It's pretty much all I've played this week.

Ach, I can't figure out what my problem is. Have reset the router, have release/renewed ipconfig, still no luck =/

When you pre-order from Steam, when do they take the money?

Always forces me back to euro for payment and back to the awful pricing.

A couple of kind folks pmd me to offer help so I'll see if I sort it that way.

Straight away, you don't pre-order on Steam you pre-purchase.

I haven't ordered from that site, but I've ordered from one very similar (CDKeyHouse) and they were great. I ordered Battlefield 3 from them, which was fine. I then ordered some DLC and there was a problem with the CD key, I contacted customer support and they sent me a new key straight up. Good stuff.

Download an ISO or something off pirate bay, then put in your legitimate CD key during install to register it with UPlay.

    @Progguitarist

Just make an account http://uplay.ubi.com/ and download the uplay app and stick your key in somewhere there.

I missed your post in here earlier. It was me and you are welcome :)

I've been the same though how can something so mundane be like crack? Try it with a wheel and it's pure heroin! For anyone who missed out it's still going for a fairly reasonable 16 quid on Amazon.

I haven't been able to get it to run for a long time alas. I think it's an Nvidia problem.

Couple of decent old school shoot-em-ups on sale:

    Capsized, 1.99

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/95300/

    Sine Mora, 1.99

    http://www.gamefly.co.uk/Download-Sine-Mora/5004919/?adtrackingid=cmju510

    (registers on Steam)

In fact, it might be easier to check out Steam's weekly in case no-one knows about them:
