    Nightmare on Northpoint is ok but doesn't really add anything new, I'd only recommend it if you've completed the game and really want a few more hours of pretty similar gameplay.

    I have a question that has nothing to do with sales and offers:
    Why do people giveaway expensive games on sites like Steamgifts? Just out of curiosity

    I just checked that site out after you mentioned it but it won't let me sign up. It says my Steam account is worth $0 o_O

    How do you DL and install the HD texture pack? Is it an additional 4gig download, if so I think I have it and there's an option in the graphics settings.

    After reading much about needing a pretty high spec machine to use the texture pack and max settings I'm surprised I'm getting 50-60fps solidly with an i3 and 1gb 6870 at 1680x1050.... Making me question if that HD pack is actually installed.

    Have you selected it in the options? You have to specifically say you want to use it in the graphics options.

    The texture pack is considered to be dlc, so you have to get it through the game's store page.

    Please don't use the delete button, think of the children.

    I'm sure I downloaded it through Steam and it sorted itself out, unless i'm dreaming that.

    The HD pack is indeed separate DLC.
    I'm on an oc'd Q6600 and an oc'd 1GB GTX 460 on high and it's a good steady 40fps (according to fraps) with the HD pack. If I put it only max setting's it'll drop severely, though.

    O.K, I lied. Just checked and I had it on medium when I was running fraps. On high settings with everything on high and the HD pack on it's 30fps. Which for a bargain basement pc, is pretty effin good. If I take a few of the more advanced demanding settings down to medium I can get it to 40fps.

    Well I'm running on 1280x1024 and it made a difference, but maybe that's because I'm on a lower res. God I need cash for a better monitor... But then with the pc I have a better monitor would be wasted.

    I found it looked absolutely stunning at 1920 x 1080

    Loving sleeping dogs at the minute but having difficulty with the fighting when there is 4 to 5 on me, I am the point where you chase the guy & end up on the roof but by the time i have killed all his men i am left with no HP to finish him off, Any pointers?

    Concentrate on counters. Like Batman, wait for them to turn red, then counter. Try not to attack too much. Use the environment kills (grab then move over to a glowing red object).

    You might have a 20% discount, too! Try adding something to your basket and seeing if a 20% "compensation" discount is applied at the checkout. (And perhaps use it on this possible pricing error: £4.87 for Settlers 7 Deluxe Gold :p)

    No, 20% discount is only for people who "purchased" borderlands 2 but their copy was refunded before they could get any serial keys.

    Those who managed to get one or more of the serial keys from the 4 pack didn't get refunded, nor do they get the 20% discount for the year.

    Looking at the reviews and DRM for Settlers 7, I still think £4.87 is too much ;)

    I nearly went for it anyway. o_O That's what I've been reduced to. Almost buying games I don't want and don't have time to play from publishers I don't like.

    The 20% discount seems to have been quite liberally applied, though. There's even someone on CAG who didn't purchase the Bethesda pack but had it "restored" to their shelf last week (keys incoming) and has no idea why. :D

    The 20% discount is largely wasted on me, however. :( I think I have all of the games now.

    Spec Ops is down to £4.99 on Steam in the Midweek Madness deal. Almost bought a few times during the sale, now it's even cheaper! \0/

    Spec ops was cheaper elsewhere. Can't remember if it was gamersgate or greenmangaming over Christmas.
