    @captbirdseye

    It varies I think, but IIRC about 12 hours.

    There's a countdown timer just below the winner icon though.

    Civ 5 currently has 95 minutes left.

    @onestepfromlost

    Well, it's 22 on amazon at the moment. Was saying it's probably worth waiting until 12th March for the expansion as you can buy both for 45 on battle.net - guess that makes the base game 20 and the expansion 25, pretty good deal I'd say.

    Though I am very tempted to just pick it up and get playing tbh.

    There seems to be some sort of sale on via battlenet, possibly there but I can't be bothered to go upstairs and grab my authenticator to log in and have a look at the moment :D

    I have to say, 'Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper' interests me a bit. Any thoughts on that, Super? It's currently priced at 2.99 which helps.

    (ps. Ripper Street starts Sun, 9pm.)

    sherlock holmes vs jack the ripper s average at best, as are them all in fact (Ive not played the newest one)

    To be honest I buy every Holmes game hoping for brilliance and end up disappointed.

    Tell Tale need to get onto this if walking dead is anything to go by.

    PSN - iN5OMANiCAL

    Thanks for that.

    I haven't bought anything yet, but looks like I'll get Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion and Transformers Fall of Cybertron (War for Cybertron is worth a look if you've not played it).

    Tempted by Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers (it's about as close to a new Battlestations as we're going to get) I thought I'd take a look at the Steam forum and there was a post saying that Gamersgate were doing it cheap!

    5.75 and redeemed on Steam is just a bit better than Steam itself were offering.

    It should be ok but one thing you have to consider is the game requires a minimum screen resolution of 1280x720.

    If you've got a hankering for dogfighting Wings of Prey is 2.49 on Steam and well worth a punt if you haven't already played it.

    @INSOMANiAC I've only played the newest one and I really enjoyed it. In fact in the 4 or 5 months I've had my pc it's the only game I've actually finished!

    Good story, interesting puzzles and quite pretty graphics in places. Like a good old point and clicker in many ways. Holmes is also quite often a bit of an evil twat which is how it should be. Whoever plays Watson is hilariously bad in places.

    @Kostabi Cheers for the tip on Wings of Prey - it's currently downloading after a brief try of the demo.

    Also picked up A Valley Without Wind 1 and 2 for 3 or thereabouts. AVWW has problems but it'll scratch that metroidvania itch I've been having and getting the beta for 2 is excellent as it's apparently a significant improvement.

    Alpha Protocol is 1.75 at GreenManGaming with code GMG30-DPLIM-DN831. I even "traded-in" a game they had given away for free, which bought the price down to 1.25 for me. :)

    Spec Ops: The Line is 3.50 with the same code.

    And also, remember to head over to TopCashBack.co.uk first to claim cashback on your purchases!

    Put simply, they give you money for buying from stores they are affiliated with.

    Cash back works by a percentage of the sale. So say you spend 10 and the site is 5%, you get 50p in the form of cash to your bank account or PayPal. It is basically free money.

    Use the link I provided to sign up and have a poke around.

    Also:

    FTL is ~3.20 on the devs' website when converted from dollars with Paypal. And as someone pointed out, you get a Steam code and DRM free version to download.
