If you're one of the few people who haven't already got it in a Steam bundle, the Humble Bundle or just bought it, you can get a copy of Metro 2033 by liking them on Facebook.

In case anyone is struggling to find the free Metro 2033 offer, here is the link:

    https://www.facebook.com/MetroVideoGame?sk=app_395840630491782

Like it, and it will generate a Steam code for you right there. Worked fine.

    (Thx to THQ btw).

The same link that's at the top of the page? I didn't realise Mr Magoo was an EG regular! :-)

But I agree, unlikely to be in the steam sale or if so, 25% off tops.
ohh, both FC3 and AC3 with 30% off (around 22) tomorrow, i'm pretty tempted.
Assassin's Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 21 each on GMG.

    AC3 code: GMG30-H86GA-AQB2H
    FC3 code: GMG30-FC31S-GR34T

(Though I used the 35% code WINTR-SRVEY-42012 posted earlier (thanks Waffleaber!) to get FC3 for the princely sum of 19.50! :p)

Just bought Myst 5 from GOG and Far Cry 3 from GMG. Going to have a look at GOG again too. Picked up Metro 2033 for a Facebook 'like' earlier.

    A good day.

I bought Batman Arkham City GOTY at GMG for 3.75 :D That's the original sale price at 75% off plus a 25% off voucher they posted on Twitter :D Already used up the 35% off voucher for something else yesterday.

My apologies Whizzo, I was on another thread elsewhere and a few had complained the correct FB link was not there so I took the liberty.

Your link is correct also, sorry for the double post.

ps. With all the games on offer I may end up looking like Mr Magoo soon. Not to mention the upcoming Steam Xmas sale... (20th Dec?)

No worries, as long as everyone got a copy that wanted one that's the main thing.

Used the greenman gaming 35% voucher + quidco on The Secret World, total is around 15.

The reason is that i can give myself a few weeks to see if i like it and the membership packages are cheap in december, they go up in January. So if you fancy it, now might be a good idea i think 12 month membership is 67.

Isn't it going free to play soon? Read on Rock Paper Shotgun that they were moving to the GW2 model, so buy the game and then it's free.

    @RunningMan

Exactly, it is the GW2 model with immediate effect which is why i held off till today. But they have membership levels so if you did like it then might want to sign up for the sub. Just saying as might be good idea to buy it using the GMG code and then if do feel like want to sub later on down the line you can.

edit: Membership gives access to the content packs, the full vanilla game is available to non members. So if play alot then might be cheaper to sub. I dont know just a thought at moment.

Must say I'm tempted by The Secret World, quite enjoyed the time I spent on it in beta but wasn't prepared to sign up to another subs based MMO.

    GOG sale has started.

Similar to Steam, with daily package deals - today's is Populous 1-3, Dungeon Keeper 1&2, Syndicate, Theme Hospital and Magic Carpet for $11.92 (about 7.50)

    Also free Duke Nukem. :D

Came darn close to getting that $11.92 pack, but I've spent a bit too much on games this year, and have no idea when I'd actually get around to them (most of my GOG games are still unplayed :().

Trying to decide between having a baby or getting through my backlog at the moment.

Unlike Steam, Desura and other such stores, GoG doesn't require a launcher. All games are DRM-free and can be downloaded directly from their site and stored wherever you please. You can even store them in your Steam library for added convenience!
