That the testament of Sherlock Holmes is well worth buying if you like point and click adventures with a good story, puzzles and pretty graphics. I got it at full price and it was worth it.

I have bought nothing in this sale so far!

I'll end up buying a Shogun 2 DLC, but that will be it. Got enough still going since the Summer Sale, and with the Winter Sale not that far off I'll wait.

I do find myself gazing at some of the games in the Steam Sale (Orcs Must Die 2) but it would just sit in the library. Time to play some of the games bought in the past.

I almost got through the sale without buying a thing. Then, last night, I spotted the GTA4 bundle for under 10 and caved in, despite a nagging doubt that it was cheaper at one point in the summer sale.

I've bought nothing so far but probably going to go for OMD2, Batman AC GOTY and Civ5 G&K before the end of today. They're all 75% off; it'd be rude not to.

Change of subject but... Noticed since the EU ruling back in July that there are a fair few Steam accounts up for sale on Ebay. Anyone had any success in offloading an account?

Nope but I'm quite interested in this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Stronghold-3-Steam-Account-14-Other-Cool-games-Read-More-Cheapest-Price-/290816831611?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item43b608b07b

cant the person just recover the account at any point though?

I don't know whether to buy batman or not. I enjoyed the first one but didn't have any real desire to play the second(not really a batman fan either). I've heard its more of the same bit with less focus. Shall I give it a miss?

The second one is a lot better in many ways but doesnt have the thril of discovering how great the first game was, its a lot bigger map wise but still quite a short game if you dont do all the riddler challenges. Its still one of the best games in recent years though and theyre practically giving it away!

Buying games just because they're cheap is a slippery slope, especially on steam! My backlog is manageable at the moment but don't want it to become ridiculous...

Well I completed the game on Xbox and bought it again on steam to redo, mainly due to the dlc, I wanted to see how much better it looked and the fact I'm a bit stupid. It's well worth 7.99 or whatever it is though

Ah I'm glad that people are sharing what they bought!! With a few trade-ins I managed to pick up:

    F1 2012 on 360 and PC boxed special edition of Dishonored;

On Steam I went for Dungeons of Dredmor complete, Hotline Miami and Legend of Grimrock.

Picked up the lot for a smidge under 30.

    Good times!!

Batman AC is a great game, i've just finished it for the second time. Yes, its mechanics and fighting system are the same of batman AA, but everything has been polished up a lot (i tried to play AA just after i finished AC and really i couldn't stand it)... It has a short but very good plot and there are many side quests to do (not just the riddler's challenges)... besides, i love to flying from roof to roof.

Change of subject: i'm not going to buy it, but what do you think of castle crashers?

My English sucks, i know... fell free to correct me

    About time you got Dredmor!
A must have game if like that type of thing (especially with the crazy price it's been at recently). Maybe the high score thread will get a bit more of a bump now. Oh, and the music is brilliant too, shame there is no way to buy the soundtrack. Would love to wonder round town listening to it.

Somehow I managed to only pick up KOTOR II, which I'd wanted for years.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Seems that the IGN Prime discount has disappeared though which is a shame as Gamersgate are generally overpriced.

It's a shame that KOTOR 2 is still utterly broken, even with the fan patches applied. Doesn't even launch on my Win8 laptop.

My Mrs got me MP3 but I can't play it until Christmas(she was getting me it for Christmas so I told her to buy it in the sale to save cash).

I bought nothing though \o/ I'm so proud of myself! Doubt I'll be that good in just over 3 weeks time though :)

@EvilW - castle crashers is poor, imo. 4 player co op makes it just about passable

works fine on my win 7 laptop, guess youre being punished for using win 8 :p

Given the sheer volume of complaints about it on various forums, it's not a Win 8 specific problem.

It's worth bearing in mind that Andy has quite poor taste :)
Castle Crashers is a simple but fun button masher, you can probably decide on that whether you want it or not.

    My splurges:

Broken Sword trilogy (I know for sure I won't play the third one again)
    Deus Ex: HR
    The Dream Machine
Fallout 3 GOTY (completed just Fallout 3 on PS3 before, wanted to try the DLC)
Hotline Miami (I'm really shit at this, but I like the old school gradual bleeding fingers progression of it all)
LA Noire with DLC (just for the DLC)
Nightsky (makes me calm, some of it is way too easy though)
    Portal 1 & 2
Civ V (liked IV and it's recently been mega-patched so couldn't say no at 4)
    To The Moon
    Toki Tori
TRAUMA (weird pretentious arty stream of consciousness narrative thing, I like)

New ultrabook is to blame for buying this much. Bad ultrabook.
