    My cart has..
    Rage
    Dead Island GOTY
    Limbo
    Left 4 Dead 2

Not a bad haul for 27

Not sure if Rage is worth it or if I should bother with L4D2 for 4.99 or get 1 and 2 for 7.49 or neither.
    hmmm...

Rage is OK, had some fun with it. I think it will go cheaper at some point. Have you played Deadspace?

I think you can get all the original L4D campaigns on L4D2 now so can't see the point in owning the first one.

Decent, uses GfWL though if that bothers you.
I heard the zombie count was a bit denser too, so should be the best version. I only played through (and enjoyed) teh PC version so can't comment, and yes it uses GFWL (not sure if you need to load it or can run it offline, a-la Fallout 3, though)

I haven't played DS2 yet but I ordered a physical copy the other day for a fiver or so..

Speaking of which, can I install games on disc into my steam library but use the disc?

It doesn't always run as well as it should, but it's a very nice looking game and DEFINITELY worth getting at that price, even if you already own it for the 360. Does use GFWL which isn't great, but didn't give me bother personally (it's hit and miss). Great pad support.

@Armoured_Bear I'm pretty sure you can do this. Some games, such as Sleeping Dogs will install steam for you and then install off the disk.

Sort of: you can add external programs to your library via the "Add a game" "Add a non-Steam game" (below the library list) and launch them from Steam.

That's all it does though: launch the game from Steam. You'll still need the disc in your drive if the game requires that, you'll have to update the game manually, etc.

If it's a Steamworks game however you can obviously run it entirely off Steam, you merely need to register the code in that case. But I suppose you know that already :)

That's a Steamworks game, i.e. a game with implicit Steam integration. Most games don't have that though.

@Armoured_Bear Dead Space 2 will definitely register with the Origin client (i did it with my copy - most EA games will, even if it does not state it). Not sure about Steam though.......

Actually, your comment reminds me, pad support is not so great, or certainly wasn't for me.

I had to basically hack it into working with my wireless 360 pad. Not sure if it's since been patched, but it hadn't been right up until 6ish months post release.

    @rtk79

Seems if I go to the site while not logged in the prices are shown in and GW2 is 44.99 as you say. When I log in it seems to switch all the prices to $ and GW2 is 35% off($44.99) then with the code it brings it down further. Whats odd is I never signed up for a US account or anything and its always given me EU/UK versions of games where applicable. If noone else can get it to show at the cheaper price I'll remove my previous post.

Tried logging in, to no avail : still showing 44.95.
Happy glitch on your end ? Rotten luck on mine ? Who knows.
No need to remove your previous post in any case, as it might well work for others.
Not to mention removing posts freaks the forum out.

I ended up buying Ghost Master 74p and Painkiller Complete Pack 6.24. I wasn't planning on it, I should couldn't help it.

Hmm yeah that's weird, it never gave me any bother, but I didn't play it on PC right after release. I use the wireless one aswell, just plugged in the dongle and it turned it on and worked no probs for me.

Yea it was widespread but not all encompassing bug which I was unfortunate enough to have affect me.

    I think it was specifically wireless+win 7 64 bit+luck.

Hehehe, nearly bought Dead Rising 2 on Steam the other day, but held out because I was really waiting for OTR. Now I think I'll bite on DR2 anyway, as it's just dropped to 3.74 on Gamersgate (not mentioning store credit rebate or our 15% discount). Nice nice. :D

They've also got The Darkness II (Steamworks) for 4.99, which seems to be the cheapest price yet..? And... (also Steamworks) FEAR 3 for 3.24, too? (Looks the same as the Steam price until you factor in the store credit GG give you ;)) I looked at GG YESTERDAY and these deals weren't there then.

Also, there's only 7 hours left on the Pay What You Want Interplay stuff at GOG.com. Yes, you can get the cheapest section for $0.01, but be generous and throw a dollar their way. :p

Capcom explained it as an issue with Microsoft using different drivers for the wired/wireless pads I think. Apparently none of the testers played it with wireless pads :D
Found this thread about it, includes a direct link to the update:

Cool, good to know it is fixed(ish) now at least.

I did have a workaround that let me use it throughout, so it wasn't too bad but it did mean some of the GfWL native stuff was a bit wonky.
