@ZuluHero There are some text reviews about, as well as a GB Quick Look. If you're directly asking my own thoughts on it, I'm satisfied to get it based on what I've seen, but I'm all ready and set for a weekend heavily peppered with Dark Souls Prepare to Die, so, I don't know whether I'll get much play in on this.

Gamefly has a weekend Square Enix 75% off sale...Quantum Conundrum curious? Well, 2.49 is the stunning price it's being offered for on there.
They also have low prices on Tomb Raiders, Hitmen and Revolution(arie)s.

Get Games has begun a "Get Loaded" initiative. Basically, a build-your-own bundle content. http://www.getloadedgo.com/ Go there, pick the two you like, and in this case get them both for 10! Four to choose from to start off - SS3 Digital deluxe, Red Orchestra 2, Deus Ex HR: Augmented, and Dungeon Siege 3+DLC
It looks like it's available until Sunday.

Origin has 50% off all sorts

Origin has the Walking Dead season pass for 12.49.
God I feel dirty, pimping special offers on Origin.

Think I'll just switch everything off.

It really was an awful advert. Installed adblock on 3 different laptops/PC's at my sister's where I am for the week because I kept getting the yellow awfulness.

There is a 50% off sale going on at origin. Bought a bunch of the sims 3 stuff(ME3's price is really good, BF3 too), first time downloading the origin client.

It automatically recognised my steam copy of the base sims 3, happily surprised considering I've seen alot of hate online regarding origin.

Lesson learned again, never trust the internet.

Startopia was one of those games I seem to remeber getting a luke warmish response at the time of release that put me off buying it, but having checked it on metacritic I see it scored mid 80's up for the most part.

So the consensus is I was a young foll and should buy it?

Edit; judging by my atrocious spelling I am still a fool, just older.

If you like management games like Simcity, anno etc.. and Space. Then buy it, it's one of the best examples of the genre.

Played a hour or two so far, it's a bit good so far!

Feels like a blend of Theme hospital (in how rooms are built, hiring employees) and Dungeon Keeper (different types of creature to deal with)

The curved station layout and camera takes a little getting used to (you can't see to all of the the edges of the station unless you rotate and move the camera around), onl being offered certain items from the trader can be a little annoying too (would love to build more bins, but he won't sell me any)

The crysis's are 75 per cent off now. Btw does anyone know how to get crysis 1 and warhead to work on windows 7?
Always wanted to play it and got a new pc but it crashes on startup and I'd imagine the os is the problem.

that's what I'm running but I get a black screen with both games. Through steam or origin?

It's not an OS issue, my first thought would be graphics. I sometimes get odd behaviour because of my dual screen setup, could be that. Some games I find that the splash screens don't display but as soon as it gets to the proper menus it's fine, this is especially the case with games that have the Nividia bit (using AMD card). Some games have issues with starting in certain resolutions or in windowed or fullscreen, basically there's a million possible reasons but the OS probably isn't it.

    Portable view - Never forget.
