Apart fro the Ubi bias, is Anno any good?

    /Knows about Cities (gits)
It's decent and the DRM is unobtrusive so getting agro about that is optional. Personally I much prefered Anno 1404 (which annoyingly isn't on steam, but haven't really experienced true Anno 2070 (the sandbox mode) since I got stuck in the campaign and never when back. At £15 it's a tough one to recommend, if you like cite building and resource management/trading then any Anno game will do you well.
    Thanks for the info.
May go for SimCity4, or wait until the new SimCity.

they seem to be running out of stuff to discount. Haven't these all been in flash sales?

Anyway that's most definitely not the worst thing in the world.

I doubt Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity will go any lower than £3.24, so that's a sale for me. And for those who don't have it, Medieval II Total War for £2.49 is a genuine steal. And Rome Total War Gold at £1.24 is like winning the lottery but on a much smaller scale.

@X201 - I'll be doing that, waiting for Sim City (not sure why it's not just called Sim City 5).

ps. Any thoughts on Dungeons of Dredmor, if it can be recommend as a purchase [that I will play]?

Been waiting for the Carpe Fulgur Collection to go up as a Daily Deal, so I've happily just bought it. Played the Recettear demo to death and for a few more quid I got the other two games they've released. I've tried Fortune Summoners and thought it was charming, but also thought it was a bit hard. Probably because the main character moves are like a fighting game, and I've not played one of those since Tekken 3. Plenty of time to practice now with the full game. Also grabbing Isaac for under two quid.

    My first Steam Sale purchases:
    Civ V GOTY
    Carpe Fulgur Collection
    Isaac
    Psychonauts

As I now have what I wanted, I can now stop sneaking glances at Steam for Android at work.

It's worrying to buy a game only to be told "you already have this game, knobhead"

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

Anno 2070 looks fantastic. I am someone who loves turtling in C&C, so seems right up my street.

Bah, wish I didn't buy Shogun Two for £7, that total war pack, although just the older games, is insane value. Kind of pointless owning that many though as what are the chances of having time to play them all + expansions?!

None, but you can dabble in every single one of them and enjoy them for what they are.

I'm tempted to get Rome, even though I have Medieval II, Empire, Napoleon, and Shogun 2 plus most of its DLC
