Trophy system seems broken

    I've completed task in two games recently that should have unlocked trophies, yet didn't. Either on the XMB or showing online.

    Anyone else have this happen?

    The games are Pixeljunk Eden and Astro Tripper, both downloaded PSN titles.

    Write to your MP and complain. If you quote the secret code "Zionist Conspiracy" you'll get extra-special treatment.

    Sadly, my MP is a 360 fanboy. He'd just chuckle and ask why I don't buy a console that works properly.

    Is the Astro Tripper one the Spider Boss? If so it's because of a problem with the trophy description, you actually need to kill it without destroying any of its weapons to get the trophy. See the PomPom blog for details.

    Also, just guessing here, but is the Eden trophy the 100k pollen one? In that case the number on the screen is not pollen, that's just points. To get 100k pollen you'll probably need around 300k-400k points.

    Ah - thanks Beta,

    Yes - it is the spider in Astro Tripper, I'll give it another go.

    In Eden it's simply getting all five seeds on the first level so that's still a mystery.

    its five spectra, not seeds. you need all five which you could find a video on youtube which shows you where everything is.

    It's pretty good, though like achievements it's a lot better when some thought goes into them. Resistance 2 for example has shit trophies that are just a grind.

    I still don't care about them and won't until I can pay for DLC with them. :)

    I don't really care about trophies much but it does annoy me that there are some of the harder uncharted ones missing even though i have got them and in some cases the achievement thing ingame says that I have them.

    Yeh, 99% of trophy problems are just the description being badly written.

    My LBP trophies are borked, I've tried deleting all saves and game data and its still not registering. I've even tried some of the "8 trophies" type user levels.

    Bloody trophies, I shouldn't really give a f**k about them but because I know they are there, its annoying me :(

    Games patched for trophies are not retroactive for the most part.

    i know, i played through it again on a harder difficulty and got some trophies while doing it. So I have some of the trophies but not all of the ones I should have.

    Sorry, it is five spectra I've got, not seeds. Forgot the games terminology.

    Oh right. You needed to pick play from a fresh save, shoulda been an option when you started it. Not much help to you now right enough.

    Are you on the new 'easy' difficulty?

    Nope - not on easy.

    Actually, it hasn't updated to the new version. Is is out for the UK?
