    ^ More liquid than anything else, aye.
    The sci-fi samples tend to happen in neuro (beardstep XD)or skullstep (Yank-dominated hard dnb, sounds a bit like a cutlery drawer being chucked down a liftshaft). Or early RAM stuff :)

    I diss female vocals in dnb a fair bit I admit, but I like plenty of songs featuring them. Just about anything Current Value have done with Snow, for example...

    ...'The Power' - fucking awesome track

    Proper drum and bass drumbeats them.

    If I get tickets in time, I'm going to see High Contrast and Logistics early October in a club near me :D I don't get excited easily but I'm pretty hyped about this.

    As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

    I need to get some more liquid myself, most of my collection is pretty heavy stuff, but there's definitely a time and place for liquid and more soulful dnb.

    Man, revisiting old stuff can be awesome.
    Case in point: tonight I've got "Colours" by Adam F on the iPod.
    The son of Alvin Stardust. Think about that.
    Deep, dark, funky, varied, spectactular production - this album has it all for me.

    Liquid is OK, but some tunes have way too much lyrical content for my liking and others sound too similar to ambient music. I say that now, but thats because i've got into neurofunk/techstep - I used to be in love with Liquid but that time (...thinking I was euphoria-on-legs being high off my face) has mostly passed.

    i was listening to a few 98-99 mixes with the old Planet V tunes on it. Brand new funk etc. Adam F went so wanky once he started trying to put rappers in his tunes and the like.

    Also, Stardust never actually had anything to do with raising him i believe.

    Just had a skip through the track listing on iTunes, really not a fan of the style of stuff they're into now - all that Sub Focus noise is techy and fake sounding. I love the tracks like 'If We Ever' by HC, though.

    Been getting back into the hospital podcast since getting an iPhone a while back, some good tracks on there recently.

    It's OK, not going to set anything on fire though. Problem is, all the big tunes off it have been rinsed for years already.
    The missus loves it, but she's much more of a 'dancefloor' DnB fan than me :)

    IMHO John B has taken the parody too far and hasn't actually done any good tracks for a while. In Transit was fantastic, had just the right balance of cheese and decent music. Then came Electrostep, and it was not great.

    I'm still not sure about the new Dom & Roland. I maintain that the last really good heavy DnB album was Telemetrik - My Lightyear.

    Logistics has still been doing some good stuff, and of course within Break, Silent Witness & co's endless catalogue of near-identical tunes there are a few great ones (Jungle Step and Meridian spring to mind).

    I really haven't heard anything essential in a while other than Telemetrik though, and he seems to have gone to ground.

    Sight Beyond by John B is intense. Heard Gatchet drop it at Bagleys back in 98 (where the hell have the lasty 11 years gone!?!)

    I do think that Up all night isnt as amazing as everyone seems to think. The original is pretty sweet, but the remix just seemed to disappear up its own arse.
