Registered 9 years agoGoldie, S.p.y and spectrasoul with SP on mic duties at Subdub this Friday. SP one of my fave MCs can really host a whole night. Think he started his career in Leeds too. The Friction/sp drum and bass arena studio mix they did around 2003 is legendary and needs to be in everyones collection. -

Registered 10 years agoNot really a massive DnB head, but was quite into it back in the day, and I have to admit when I heard supersharpshooter on a mix the other day I went a bit nuts.
I’d be interested in listening to something recent to see how much it’s moved on since I was more into that kind of thing.

Registered 6 years agoNoticed today that Dom & Roland is still about, had a new album last year. I used to love his old stuff. Tracks like Imagination (posted below), Thunder and Parasite still sound immense today. Are there any other artists around still doing similar stuff these days?

Amazing Ed Rush set from last years Glade Festival. Virus Recordings \0/ some real tekkie rollers on it, my perfect style of DNB.
There's also great Ed Rush B2B Fierce set from Renegade Hardware @ The End (I miss that club) on the excellent DnB share archive website

I highly recommend checking out. Don't know if Fierce, Raiden etc are still producing or playing out? Fierce especially was in fire back when I used to go out 97-2005 era.
Ed Rush is probably one of my favourite producers / DJs and headlined the first DnB night I ever went to back in '97 (Ed Rush, Kenny Ken, Luke Slater, MC Freestyle).
That night was a real baptism of fire, good old days when people could smoke (weed) in clubs. -
