I don't think this series gets enough love on these forums (yes - the first season is a little odd - but then it gets MEGA-GOOD!) - so here's a rather cool little Call of Duty sequence for those that have yet to see it. :p

Spot on - each brilliant in its own way, but there's far more substance to the US version. At least, as soon as they gave up on trying to shoe-horn in material from the UK series.

Yes not enough love for this brilliant show here. One of the best comedies ever.

First new episode since Christmas last week, and another tonight.

i thought it would be another yank red dwarf, how wrong i was, i absolutely loved it. there was a run of them on itv2 or something and it was one of those rare shows that i always tried to be back home in time to watch.

Better than the UK Office, by miles.

Truth. I love the original, but the US version has surpassed it.

What?! Where? When? How? Huh? Are we talking UK television? What channel? I've seen up to series 3, and have been waiting for series 4..... please tell me it is so!

Oh, sorry, it's on in the US so is available at your local bittorrent superstore.

I just assume that's where everyone gets their TV shows now.

I don' like to watch stuff online. There's so much crap on UK telly that I like to savour the decent shows properly as & when they arrive on our shores.

/has only just started watching Earl series 4 (and enjoying it too mind you).

Does your dvd player play .avi?

I used to just burn ep's to disc, but now I have a DVD player that even plays off a USB stick =)

Means I don't have to watch them online or wait, and watch them whenever I fancy.

    US Office ftw btw.

Latest two episodes were really great.
One of the things that really stands out about the US version is Michael Scott is a lot more likeable than David Brent. He may be socially awkward and naive, but it's easy to see why he's still in charge despite all the cock-ups. The scenes where he shows how good he is at his job or how he deals with kids are some of the best.

I'm the same these days, I like to wait, esp if it's going to be in HD. Annoying with things like Rescue Me though, which doesn't seem to have a home anymore. Dying to watch the 5th season of that.

Shouldn't be long, season 3 came out in July and 4 has been out in the US for a while. You can buy the R1 release off Ebay for about 20 though.

/realises it's not that much effort to check yourself

    /still waits for a response.

    Another top episode.

Steve Carell's acting is just exellent, he treads the fine line of cringe and sympathy so well. He never over eggs it.
