I'm just not sure why Dirtbox cares so much about people using Firefox.

I wish they'd hurry up and release a new version of 10 (that isn't horribly broken like the snapshots). There doesn't seem to be much point in installing the alpha at this stage, but I do like to have Opera around.
There are, you can get the latest from here.

I love Opera but it's such a memory hog with 6 tabs open its using 200,220K and IE 6 or 7 (don't know which one I have) has 11 tabs open and its 74,392K

Also when I close tabs in Opera the memory footprint doesn't decrease, what gives?

edit: using Opera 9.25, i'll upgrade & see what happens

Is that with alpha 10 or 9.6? Both can hog a bit, but the turbo snapshot of 10 (in the above link) is pretty good.

Just launched, Firefox is using 26,016 K and Opera 24,776 K. With this page loaded for some reason, Opera is using 50,924 K and Firefox 44,540 K. I'm using the most recent versions. I find the browsers equal, except Opera doesn't have an equivelant to some of Firefox's addons.

Does Opera have an equivelant to Interclue?

Yeah, there was a java script that did that, but it was a bit buggy at the time. I'll have a rummage as it must have been updated by now.

Hehe, I missed Opera's introduction of face gesture browsing, although they could have done with finding somebody to demo it who could properly suppress a grin :)

That wouldn't work for me, I'd end up at the bottom of the page permanently when reading EG

Oh, cool. I just noticed you can drag down the tab bar and have the tabs as preview pics instead. Swish as fuck, but not exceedingly useful.

Wow, it goes like a rocket with Opera Turbo turned on - at the expense of image resolution right enough, but impressive anyway!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this.

A lot of people were asking for a Flash block, so there it is.

I've been on overdrive trying to find ways to improve the browser and found this. Many buttons that you can add to the interface to improve it's functionality or better still, you can make your own. You'll find them in the appearance window in the buttons tab and in the My buttons section where you can drag and drop to wherever you wish.

I added a checkbox to lock tabs, hid the menu bar and added a single button to show them instead, added a toggle for the personal bar and a toggle to hide/show the tab previews.

Also it's doing well in speed tests.

    Browser is looking swish.
