Quick question chaps, not imported anything from Play Asia before.
Do you think if I ordered a Vita, it would arrive for Christmas?
No. I live in Asia, and it always takes more than a week for Play-Asia stuff to arrive (usually eight days, sometimes a bit more). Even ordering the Japanese version, which is released on the 17th, I can't imagine you'd even get it during December.
Is that using the courier or normal airmail? I used Fedex (I think) way back when and it arrived pretty damn sharpish. Meanwhile, their cheap air mail took aaaages. Of course, things could have changed in the interim.
edit: Also, the price they're charging for the Vita is m-m-m-mental. NCSX is charging about 50 bucks less but it's still far too high for a system where we don't even know the demand yet. Remember how quickly 3DS prices fell - within about 2-3 weeks they were at RRP at P-A. I'll probably pick a Japanese model up myself, due to the circle-cross button thing, but it seems more sensible to hang fire for a bit. Unless you're going on a long trip...
edit 2: If you do decide to order it, DO NOT use EMS as the courier. The package will be delivered by Parcel Force here, and if they see it's worth money (which they will) they will ransom it for at least 2 days, possibly even a week, before telling you it needs customs duty and VAT paid on it. Fedex and probably UPS deliver, then invoice you.
