Got back into Sleeping Dogs after finishing Dead Space 3. Also fired up Skyrim. I was put off it on the 360 after a dragon failed to give me a soul due to a bug. Got it on the pc, got a quarter of the way thru and upgraded my pc, reformatted the hdd forgetting my saves (console brain took over). So i've been putting it off. Enjoying the graphics, its so much better on the pc. Same with Sleeping Dogs, the city is such a breath of fresh air after so many US themed games.

Gone back to frontlines fow. Plenty of mp matches still and its refreshing to back to a game in which all vehicles are available from the off without the unlock shit. You can just get straight into the tactics rather than spend a match focussing on unlocking shit which ends up witha frenzied last few minutes. (Homefront, blops etc....)

There is nothing like flying a jet from the off with nothing to unlock, providing air support to ur team in an hour long match.

Graw2 is okay. You can just send ur team in all guns blazing most of the time though and get through. Again its a game which employs the illusion of tactical play. Its not a patch on Full Spectrum Warrior.

    Grid 360
Due to picking up for pennies via LIVE sale. I'm not a massive racer fan, but I have already put in a few hours since Friday evening.

I got Castlevania LOS via the swappsies thread so may start that today...or more Grid.

Also playing a little bitof Infamous FoB now and again...well my daughter is!

After deciding it was exceedingly boring (last year), I've dipped back in to Red Dead Redemption again. Enjoying it much more this time. This is entirely because I've starting watching Deadwood.

I also keep going back to Borderlands 2. Is any of the DLC worth getting? I hear the pirate one is kind of good.

@Triggerhappytel I think it's more likely to come out on Steam than on PSN to be honest. As much as I'd like to play it, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Max Payne 3 - Got it for under 20$ with shipping so I thought why not.
I'm enjoying it, suck more than I remember on shooters though, repeated the same 10 second slow-mo sequence over 10 times before finally succeeding.

About to start Assassin's Creed 3 I think. Want to start Witcher 1 on my mac too. Also playing Apollo Justice on 3DS, and got Layton and Tales of the Abyss waiting for me next.

Also downloaded Max Payne 3 in sale, and got PS Plus games on Vita, and Just Cause 2. And Far Cry 3 sitting on my shelf. Oh dear :-(

Dead Space - I forgot how good the start was. Tense and creepy, by chapter two it's already starting to fall apart though. Necromorphs start bursting out of every vent, each one more irratating and less startling.

Mechanically and graphically it still holds up so well though. Isaac's stooped shuffle and laboured stomp feel perfect.

Along with Mirror's Edge, it is probably one of the best openings in a game for the last six or seven years.

... but yeah, the monster thingummies started to annoy a little too soon though. A million times better than the recent snowy third one, which is dreadful in places.

Been playing a lot of Spelunky this week. Finally managed to unlock the last shortcut and finish the game, but now I've hit a brick wall trying to get to the City of Gold. I will make it eventually, honest.

Tropico 4, the game has taken over my life. It's my first Tropico game too. I like it, but the scenarios are a little too easy to complete. This is because they set the winning conditions too low. The game makes it very easy to establish a huge income. I've had games were I was making almost a million a year! I'll probably pick up the Modern Times DLC after I'm done with this, hopefully they've made the scenarios harder.

Got the Assassin's Creed 3 Washington DLC on the go as I type. Bought the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3. Got a copy of Tomb Raider from Lovefilm in the post today too.

Thankfully I had the bright idea to a couple of weeks back to take this Thursday off, got nothing planned other than to just chill and catch up on some gaming.

Did u get it from on demand or physical copy. I got it from on demand and none of myt saves will load. :o( apparently its a known issue. I personally did not bother with scenarios and just went straight into freeplay. .odern times is expensive but worth it if u r obsessed like I once was....

    Kane and lynch 2

It's brilliant. Needed a break from ac: brotherhood and this has been sitting on my shelf for months so in the small hours of the morning I thought what the hell.

I know folk hate it, and the first one. I just... I just really like them. You know how sometimes you just put on a film, knowing it's shit, pointless and plotless but loving it anyway? Like that. It's the gaming equivalent of Taken.

So yeah. Having a great time with it. Love the style, grittiness, the running shootouts down crowded streets. Playing on normal and bad guys go down pretty easy. No bullet sponges as some have said.

Guilty. I'm one of the reasons they're making these games so for some folk I guess I'm sorry.

    But I'm not really.

Aw man, that sucks! I bought it on steam and my saves work fine. You should play the scenarios, despite being easy they are really funny! :D

You are not alone mate. I played and completed both games. Lots of silly/shouty fun :)

I have just got Halo4 from lovefilm, but not in the mood for it...as I said before I'm simply killing gaming time until Gears comes out.

    Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines

Holy shit the dialogue and voice-acting are phenomenal.
Even 9 years after its release I struggle to think of many game that have come close. It's still ahead of the curve in that respect, despite its technical shortcomings.

Plugged in the ol' Dreamcast and started Resident Evil 2 & Code: Veronica. Lost my save file for C:V and with it the infinite Rocket Launcher :( Looks like I'm going to have to do another speedrun to get an A rank. No big deal, I know the old-school RE games by heart.
I just finished the ps1 version of RE2 last week and bloody hell, I forgot how tough the DC version is (even on Normal). Tough as balls. Finished Claire A and unlocked Hard mode so I will be going through all four scenarios again on that difficulty (which, like RE: Director's Cut, allows random headshots to happen with the pistol). Happy times!

FTL on my ancient (well 6 yrs old) pc.

Was thinking this would be better to try before tomb raider etc.

I was right. This one might have even run on my extremely ancient 286!

    incredibly addictive. Cracking game.

Everybody should just calm down a little bit and have a nice cup of tea.

Mass effect 3 citadel. Got conned into this overpriced guff I'm afraid. Wanted to believe....and the eurogamer review is waaaaay off the mark. The main story is over in a couple of hours, stretched out by 2 battles which are near impossible to win unless on the lower difficulty setting (not narrative). 10 attempts before I managed to get through both. Awkwardly forced 'humour' in the writing and the frame rate suffers too. Haven't done the party yet but this cost twice as much as it should.

Playing Tomb Raider, really good. Played about 7 games of Fifa on the 360 yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Amazing how that game can lurch from abject frustration to pure pleasure.

    Finished Crysis 3.

A shout out for my 11year old son who's just entered NG++ on Dark Souls.
