Tropico 4. Fuck me its addictive. I'm constantly thinking about what tweaks I can make to the island when not playing. Even got the modern times dlc and can see myself getting all other dlc too. Great game

    God of War 3 Awesome
    Far Cry 3 Awesome
And Sleeping Dogs which is one of those once in a while games that you dont expect much of but turns out to be brilliant! Absolutley brilliant!
Was really enjoying batman arkham city until I got stuck on the rai za ghoul (shit spelling) challange, the dive bombing/gliding seemed solid!

    Dragons dogma
Really enjoying it so far. Yeah, its ropey as fuck in parts (npc models, lip synching, weirdly washed out graphics, no hint as to where you're supposed to go WHATSOEVER etc) but the good far outweighs the bad.
I havent felt such a sense of actually exploring the landscape in a long time and the links between the cities and wilderness just feels...real somehow. It's difficult to explain why it all feels so cohesive but it really nails the roleplaying aspect for me

Saints Row The Third, full package (bought on STEAM's sale). Not my cup of tea (I love Bioware RPG), but it's ok for now.

So I have nothing on the go.

Absolutely nothing. Every game I own I'm done with, more or less. And I'm not buying/renting a game just for the sake of having something to play.

Got a couple of demos on the go but for some reason I'm not too motivated to play them.

Think it's going to a quiet year for me unless the PS4/next Xbox come out within 12 months. Not that much on the horizon at all, a mere handful.

Xenoblade Chronicles and really enjoying it but the battle system is not the simplest around and my brain hurts. There again it's been a while since i played a jrpg so i'm a bit rusty. Looks great so far but i wish i could turn down the team quips during battle as my housemates aren't too keen on that :)

Mass Effect 3 - I'm... enjoying it, yes but i've left it alone for a while after playing 1 & 2 right before it.

Having been reunited with my PC after a year apart been really enjoying it especially now I can hook it up to a TV and whacked a 660 Ti in there.

Went back to Crysis 2, which I'm now loving plus dipping in and out of Driver 3 when I want some couch gaming.

DMC4 - This was supposed to be part of a fighting game binge before DmC came out, but I've over shot it by some distance. Now it's a binge before MGR: Revengeance comes out.

Done Bayonetta, doing DMC4, and still have God Hand to go. All totally brilliant.

Game of Thrones. Actually pretty fun. Yes the voice acting is ropey and maybe it's not quite as expansive as it could be but the story is good and the combat is very strategic. Graphics are fine, some lovely rendered locations. Will check out the DLC when I'm done.

I started Skyrim last night after avoiding it for ages knowing I would spend loads of time just wandering about exploring.

Having planned to just design a character and have a light wander around, unsurprisingly, I sneaked up to bed after 1:30 last night having pootled about in some barrow near the first place you're directed to.

I might as well wave goodbye to playing many other games on the 'to play' pile for a while.

    :)

I already do. I can see a *lot* of time being spent on it.

The change to map/journal access is annoying me though. I keep hitting back (to wait) instead of B for the menu for some reason. I need to check what the control scheme options are next time to change that.

Vortex, you playing on PC? If so have a look at SkyUI as it will make the inventory system manageable.

As Duffman has said, I am on 360.

The inventory is a bit of a clunky pain I have to say. I hope it gets easier to deal with as you adapt to it.

    Highborn chapter 1, on Android

Took some faffing about with a French credit card to buy the bloody thing (Amazon don't let people from my country buy their apps yet), but finally got all three chapters.

I was under the impression that it would be somewhat like Fire Emblem. But it really isn't, aside from cosmetic similarities.

For one thing, so far it's been almost laughably easy. The AI is stupid, and most of the units are pretty disposable. You lose if the hero units die, but the other ones are not unique or special. If you lose one, then you get it back after a few turns from one of the towns you captured. At first I was being really conservative, but it wasn't necessary, as there is no experience or reward for keeping things alive. Maybe it gets harder in the last few missions, but yeah.

Speaking of missions, there are only about 10 or so in the campaign. The next two chapters also give you 10 apiece, but even then it feels slight. Particularly since there's no single-player skirmish mode for some reason.

I was also under the impression that the game was funny. There have been a few laughs, but mostly it reminds me of that guy everyone knows who feels the need to make every single fucking thing coming out of his mouth into some witty wisecrack. It's trying way too hard to be wacky, and gets tiresome.

But I will keep playing to finish it, in the hopes that it will challenge me more. But I haven't been too impressed so far.

Main game at the moment is Starcraft. Got to the fourth mission on the Zerg campaign so far and I have noticed that the difficulty is beginning to increase since polishing off the Terran campaign.

I have the add-on to play through as well once I'm done with the original missions.

    Brilliant game.

The addon is quite difficult compared with the main game. Starcraft 1 + Broodwar is the best RTS to date and will always remain the highlight of the golden age of RTS.
Campaign wise I preferred the main game compared to the addon but it's almost on par. Forget SC 2. That one is flashy and full of expensive CGI and yet not even close in terms of atmosphere.
Same goes for Diablo 2 vs 3.
I am right now playing KKND. It has such an atmosperic artstyle. Units get experience, it's about fending of incoming attacks and massing your own army. Simple but charming in its ways.

I dont have the power to run SC2 so I'll just be sticking with the original but good to know.

KKND is on my radar for after SC as it does look right up my street.
