My mate's playing it on 360 and he hasn't complained about the controls for what it's worth.
    There's a review and PS3/360 comparison here.

    This game actually looks...okay.

So it just plays like GTA 4 - just a little faster with less walking?
  • Deleted user 24 November 2008 00:16:09
    Guys, BUY THIS GAME !

Imho, this is one of 2008's best releases, lots of content, great graphics & soundtrack and amazingly addictive gameplay - this is how GTA4 should have played (regarding the driving physics).

20 pounds? Friggin' bargain, get it, like, now...

Best arcade racing game of the year this and one that more than made up for the disappointment of Burnout Paradise. It deserved to do so much better...

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 3 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

    Get this. Not NFS.

This has been a "Don't be a fucking retard when you next buy a street racing game" public service announcement.

1)Might get this after xmas how's the replayability? I like games that I can keep playing.
2)does it have all the slow texture loading problems as GTA4 race multiplayer or have they improved on that? Wouldn't want to be racing on a blank canvas.

    Cheers in advance.

    1) Plenty to do. It's not an empty sandbox by any means, and you're just about to get a metric ton more city to play in for free

    2) Now and again I get a weird glitch where all the textures disappear, and I sink into the road. This has happened about twice in the entire time I've played it and it's a very very rare thing so don't be put off at all by it because I don't know anyone else who's had the prob. Most of the time you feel like your eyeballs are being scooped out of your head with the sheer speed of the thing.

This is winging its way to Castle Phatt as we speak - I'm really looking forward to it. Got Burnout Paradise a couple of months back and, excellent as it was, it didn't grab me to the extent I'd hoped it would. MC:LA should be the driving tonic I've been craving recently.

I ordered it this morning off Play-Asia for a wholly reasonable 11. Winner.

Excellent game, currently playing it. Slow progression, but still fun. I've only two cars so far, but then I spend money and time to upgrade their performance instead of just buying a new car.

Not noticed anything wrong with the controls on my PS3 version. Unless you meant the pad, which is excellent now that I have proper triggers with that giotech trigger set or whatever it's called.

I love this game. I must confess to being a fan of all the previous Midnight Clubs, I actually still own the original xbox just to play and customize cars on Midnight Club 3 Remix. I bought mine for 37 and I feel I am getting my money's worth so if its going for 19 its worth considering. I have never played it on ps3 but on the 360 the controls are really good. If you want to play online there are not a lot of guys who play it online except on Saturday. Its miles better than Need for Speed undercover. ****1/2 stars.

Many people say this is frustrating. Kinda put me off the game.
  • Deleted user 18 December 2008 18:43:00
It got a fix, so it's not frustrating anymore.
  • Deleted user 18 December 2008 18:43:53

It has certainly been something of a revelation to me. After hearing good things on another forum I dropped for the play deal. 17.99 well spent.

Takes a little while to get some money together but once you get a few cars and it starts throwing more missions at you then the compulsion kicks in.

Head cam on bikes is all kinds of awesome.
