I have just sold my 40GB PS3 and am replacing it with an 80GB one. I have game saves, downloaded games from PSN and downloaded demos. What do i need to do to get these on my new machine and how?

Also, how do i remove my account from the system?

Not too sure about all this, but i dont want my details etc left on the system, so i thought everyone at EG could help!

    Thanks

Uhm... You can delete the account, but it doesn't delete the PSN account at all from what I know.

And also... why did you buy a 80GB when you can buy a bigger HDD for cheaps and replace it.

Put all the saves (and demos if you want to keep them) on a stick or HD. The downloadable games you can download again.
You can delete your account and re-activate in on your new console.

Isn't it possible to just sign out of your PSN account on the system, as opposed to deleting it?

Well hopefully you copied them onto a USB HDD or memory stick before you sold it. You press triangle and select Copy.

BTW, you can upgrade the HDD in PS3s in aroudn 90 seconds and a 320GB costs exactly fuck all these days.

All games will be able to be redownloaded from PSN when you log in.

Just use the backup/restore facility. It copies all your downloaded games as well IIRC.

If you are upgrading from 40 - 80gb just for the size difference in the HDD, it might be worth just going out and buying a larger hard disk froma laptop and installing it yourself. That's what I did, very very easy to do (stupidly easy in fact) and way cheaper.

    There's a good guide here:

    Replacing the PS3 HDD Video

edit - I just saw Red Moose had already recommended this, sorry!
