Personally I've covered A fair bit of Borean Tundra and a little bit of Dragonblight then switched to Howling Fjord - I plan to savour the content not rush it. I was happy with 71 and a bit and 64 on my DK - that's with thurs and fri off work plus the weekend.

So what do you consider a "life" then? eating? sleeping? fucking hot girls? clubbing?

Woah!!! Do I even need to reply to that!?

Howling Fjord is great, I got to 72 after clearing all of the quests there with 2 instance runs. Some great Pirate quest lines on the west coast.

Now working my way though all the Tundra quests.

In Tundra make sure you do the Murloc quests - that's a great fun chain - was a very busy area though.

Dragonblight - Wyrmrest Temple.... everyone should visit this just ot see it asap its so cool - I do have a weakness for anything with dragons in though :p.

Oh and Dalaran is very pretty.

If many other guilds do this super fast (bearing in mind there are 3 more dungeons to come or w/e) then maybe, but I don't know why ye'd bother. Oh epeen, I forgot.

Also money. They have plenty of sponsors that pay them based on their PvE progress.

I'm 73 and a little bit with a couple of very late nights under my belt.

It's a very close 4 horse race to 80 atm in our guild. I reckon 1st place is in the bag unless Maven has taken this week off. Not sure if the main contender is jobless/student/prisoner though. They are all hovering around 76/77.

And I still sit at 70, with no computer. Hopefully I'll get it tomorrow.

I think Karth is in the same boat. He should get his copy today or tomorrow.

    I have the game, just no computer to play it on. ;_;

I figure I would have been about level 75 or so otherwise. Now I'm seriously behind my planned progress.

WoW does take skill. in at least taking the initiative and being able to work out exactly what to do and when: that's partially why some people are so much more successful than others. People say WoW takes no skill, and then see an 'undergeared' person kick the crap out of a better person because they outplayed them.

Yeah PvP takes skill, but these guys are on about PvE. I dont think PvE takes much skill per say, its just a matter of knowledge.

Well, being first to clear the content, without any guides or strategies available should take a fair amount of skill, i'd say.

11 million people playing is bound to get people milking that cow from any orifice they can.

And a horde of excitable 14 year old raider fanboys is a prime market for makers of various gaming stuff, such as 1337 mousemats.

You should sell mousmats which are just a white mat with 'I levelled to 80' on it, but which can only be purchased by people who can prove they have a level 80 character in their name. Sell them for £35 a pop, branch out into badges, bags, underwear etc. You'd make a mint.

PvP takes skill, PvE does not for anyone other than the people who work out the strategy / give the orders.

...and that's coming from someone that used to be a grunt in one of the high end raiding guilds. :)

Although i have never played WOW and i understand what your saying about it being a time sink and getting through to the end game in 3days is a bit sad i think it is a bit of a double standard calling these people no life virgins while posting about it on a gaming forum. if you had brought it up over a dinner party or over the water cooler at work then it would be a valid point but posting about it on the internet is the antithisis of a 'no lifer'.

Posting on a gaming forums is a bit opposite to leveling like there's a fire under your ass. I don't think posting on forums these days is generally reserved to people with no social lives or people who are intorvert, most people do it at work to pass the time in between looking busy.

Won't change some narrow minded tards instantly calling you a no lifer or whatever just for posting on here. Not any worse than the people who do similar things with WoW players really but oh well.

Exactly, grayson. The only annoying thing about their little speed run is their silly little epeen whine about casual players.

Water cooler? WTF is this shit for real?

WOW is for losers. I know a few people that played it and they have started to lose at life in general: avoiding work, socialising, interaction, they live only to do the instances and have no other life. Hence: losers.

There is a difference between casually posting on the net and hitting F5 every 30 seconds, and there is a difference between someone who plays warcraft casually (maybe at most a few hours a week, perhaps 1-2 at most which in my mind is a casual game player in general), and those who do 16 hr non-stop binges, which is what I can see one of my friends doing, skipping meals, exercise and generally being human.

In big offices people chat / bitch about people when grabbing a drink from the water cooler. Its a meeting place for cubicle dwellers... (don't you read Dilbert?)
It exists in real life not virtually is the analogy i was trying to make.
Basically complaining about people having no lifes for playing a virtual game.. but complaining about it virtually not face to face is a bit of a paradox.
