    No, it's not a planet thread :D

    Everyone at work is talking about how they've started buying their Christmas presents already. It's only just after Halloween ffs, bit early. But then again it's always good to have it done before, say, Christmas eve. Personally I've bought nothing yet. I've knitted a scarf for a friend and that's it.

    Who's started, and who waits till the last minute?

    Up until November, I had already got a couple of small presents. Now the proper shopping begins. Am heading off at the weekend to make a concerted effort. And this is coming from someone who was the typical "Shit! It's Christmas Eve!" present buyer :o)

    I'm waiting 'til the last minute. Mostly because I have very little money, at least until I win the Euromillions. Which I never enter. I might draw or paint some stuff for a couple of people.

    Not me. Me and MsED209 decided to just get each other one nice thing (maybe two) and that's it, and I'll get a couple of things for my family and send them up in a box. Guess I ought to have a think this month and get them soonish, not a massive Christmas shopping fan. Probably get it all on the web anyway.

    Isn't it nearly time to start making noises about Secret Santa?

    Ordered one present so far. I will get a few others this month, mostly giving out cash I hate shopping.

    Well I know my parents really need a new microwave but they live in a different country and we can't bring one with us when we visit for Christmas, so I think they'll be getting a voucher to buy themselves one. And a few little bits and pieces. Some of my friends and I have decided not to buy presents this year as we're all skint. There'll be a secret santa at work (although I do buy for a couple of people I'm particularly friendly with). That leaves Rutty's family (mum, dad, Grandma, brother and his partner, probably not sister and her partner as they're living in Australia now), and whatever we end up buying for each other. Oh and my goddaughter.

    So not that much really, when you think about it.

    Clothes shopping is the worst. I will do this once maybe twice a year, it usually involves visiting one shop and picking up a a mountain of clothes then leaving (after paying of course).

    Sorry, no, got waaaay too much on my plate as it is without masterminding that. But I'm in if someone else does.

    Hehe no worries. Same here really. Things are going a bit mental in the run-up to the end of the calendar year...

    Prof Lessor had a successful shot at it last year so I recommend a student with some nouce to do it. Preferably Oxbridge educated ;oP

    Well, last year's thread tells it like it is really. I was lucky enough to get mine in time for Christmas. Always fun explaining to the family where a (thankfully) game-related present came from.

    I'd forgotten about secret santa...ahhh, memories. I've got much more game related crap this year thanks to various events so I won't struggle so much to find anything relevant, yes, I'm cheap.
