    Branded looks quite interesting.

    Orphanage director. Tsunami family drama.

    Thank god Ewan McGregor is not putting on a foreign accent. He should be banned for life from doing that.

    Hmm, 'from the makers of Coraline' means 'not from the same director as Coraline'. And it's true (not the same writer either, but there you go).

    Still, seems to be getting a decent reception.

    Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters. More in line in terms of gore etc. to Evil Dead than the likes of Van Helsing.

    Yeah, it does look stunning. It'll probably be a glorious, beautiful, indulgent mess and in regards to that could do with it's own thread.

    Feel I should apologise for this but sometimes you see something so stomach curning that you need to share it. Ladies & gentlemen, I give you the Lincoln trailer:

    Spielberg
    Daniel Day-Lewis
    Pro US propaganda
    'Classic' mournful trumpet score....

    You really couldn't pay me to watch this.

    edit: should state that I've nothing against the US (had many great holidays there etc, etc) but the flag-waving blind patriotism does my head in.

    Trailer for 'Mama'.

    Plinky-plonky piano music;
    Staring, dysfunctional children;
    Lingering camera shots around open doorways...

    Looks like a horror!

    Will watch if they do the line"Drainage! Drainage, Eli, you boy. Drained dry. I'm so sorry. Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that's a straw, you see? You watching?. And my straw reaches acroooooooss the room, and starts to drink your milkshake... I... drink... your... milkshake"

    Will see this plus Anthony Hopkins playing Alfred Hitchcock in the movie about the making of Psycho

    Looking good indeed. Think Mirren is playing herself rather than the mouse-like Alma, but Hopkins certainly looks the part. Plus Ralph Macchio is in there!
