Registered 10 years agoI've been listening to Wolfmother recently as well. Don't remember how I stumbled upon them. Were they in 'Whats New' recently? -

Registered 8 years agoNot sure - I found them via lastfm. I realised that you dont need to pay for lastfm in order to use the scrobbling / recommendation service which is the one thing that spotify really lacks.
apparently they are "like" the foo fighters (?!) -

Registered 10 years agoAh last.fm, that's where I saw them too.
I know Spotify does scrobbling, but it'd be great if you could also follow someone else's scrobbling to automatically make a playlist. -

Registered 6 years agoAnyone else using this on the iPhone/iPod touch? Ever since the last update my offline music keeps disappearing and I have to re-sync. Not an easy task when you're living in a Hostel in the middle of nowhere in Australia. I spent $40 on WiFi access yesterday just getting them all re-synced, only to find that they lost sync again when I logged back in. -

Registered 8 years agoAnyone else have trouble using the iPod sync function on multiple computers? I have my music library of downloaded songs on my lappy. If I download a song when on my work computer or my desktop at home and then connect my iPod it asks me to erase the whole iPod and sync. But then obviously it won't have the music I transferred to it through spottily on my lappy.
Unless of course I do load all these songs through spottily which aint gonna happen.
Any solutions? -

Registered 8 years agoOh and I just noticed that the download credit you buy expire after 30 days. Did not know that.
My 2 first negative Spotify experiences happened within minutes of each other.

+1. Only problem I have with groovshark is that sometimes album track listings are a little unexpected.
Good riddance!
Grooveshark all the way.
Think I'll just switch everything off.

Registered 9 years agoGrooveshark isn't a patch on Spotify when it comes to consistency either of completeness or quality. I do use it as a backup though and can find things on there sometimes when Spotify fails.
I do not like this new approach by Spotify though. They must have done some big dealings behind the scenes to get such prominence at f8, and at the moment the new ticker in Facebook is crammed with Spotify notifications. It's a great idea to use the OpenGraph as a way of suggesting new music to you IF you want to enable the feature. But to force people to link Spotify to Facebook to sign up is pushing it.
Worth noting, you could synch it, then instantly block the Spotify app from Facebook. You could also create a dummy Facebook account for the purpose. The issue is though why should you.
It will put some people off, but then I am sure they have thought about it, and concluded they will gain more than they loose. I won't be cancelling my sub, but I won't (and never have) be linking my account. -

Registered 8 years agoYeah I don't see the issue with making a fake account to sign up. It take 2 mins and then you never have to actually use facebook. -

If you're lookign for a specific song, it's great. If you're looking for a specific album, it can be a bit of a pain. This is down to most stuff being user uploads rather than publisher content (they still pay licensing fees though), and quite a few popular albums are uploaded multiple times with different track listings.

Apart from that, I've not seen any monthly limits, and it works a treat on mobiles.Think I'll just switch everything off.

Registered 7 years agoSo, anyone still pay for premium? Need it to make full use of Sonos system and the iphone take anywhere functionality is an added awesome bonus. I assume I would be able to stick my account on the OT's Android phone so she can use it too.Pissy pants.

Registered 8 years agoI do. I love that the there is no real issue with streaming over 3G so I can choose something for each car journey. (Of course, its a PITA if I head down a rural route and the app's not cached enough, but then I could easily have created an offline playlist) -

Registered 8 years agoGo here and you can get the new version. Lots of very simple but nice updates. One pet peeve of mine (new playlist button being under all your playlists instead of at the top) is fixed too! Much nicer search (suggestions appearing as you type) and generally a nice look to it all. -
