Despite all this negativity, it still seems to be working for most of the music I like.

Anyone want an invite? Mine keep refilling faster than I can send them out and I have at least 10 available for the moment...

They've got the Cops & Robbers remix of DJ Shadow's Stem which I last heard at University and have been trying to find since, so it's full of win!

Do a search for Puddy Cat. It's insane.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

I listened to that this afternoon on Spotify. What starts out surprisingly good goes down hill sharpish by the half way mark. This is only my opinion of course.

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I have to say the mac client is quite lovely. The interface is excellent.

Not only that - the pause button on my MacBook Pro pauses/resomes Spotify and not iTunes. Nice touch.

    V. late to the party - just found this.

    I don't get it... where's the catch?

    Free music?
    Is it downloadable / stick-on-an-Ipod-able?

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is, so...

It's free and ad supported, if you get a beta invite. You can also pay a monthly fee. It streams the music so you can't download it or stick it on your iPod, though I think it works fine on mobile Internet devices.

It is also doomed to failure within a few years, since it relies on a legal status quo that won't last long.

That Puddy Cat song must be a rip off of Surfing Bird.

    Anyway, another creepy song.

I think he's even singing "The cat eats the bird". Could be some early east vs. west coast battle.

No Beatles. Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" showing as not available on the Home page, but playable on search.

This is heading in the wrong direction, fast.

Matter of perception. In the Destroyer household, no Beatles and no Coldplay = stroke of genius.

Exactly. The music industry is terrified of the future and will do everything it can to stop the future from happening.

Had a play with this over the weekend - it really is most excellent. It had nearly everything I searched for (though to be fair I was hunting through 80s music mainly).

As for it not having The Beatles - no legal music site does, not even iTunes. Negotiations are still ongoing.
