I've not really played enough of either to make a comparision about story and that. I found April's voice slightly less annoying though.
April is in both games. But still, noooo, Zoe's voice is super sexy!

Fuck me, I've got so many games to play. I'm past halfway (I guess) through Bioshock Infinite, which is good, but it hasn't GRABBED me; I'm working my way through an XCOM CI game; and I keep meaning to get back to Dark Souls to complete it with my Dex/Int character. I also want to give Deus Ex: HR another shot after not really liking it first time, but enjoying Dishonored enough to want to play a game like it but with guns. And I've got two Borderlands 2 characters on the go. And I keep forgetting (sometimes for weeks at a time) that I'm "currently" playing through Skyrim. And Far Cry 3. And Max Payne 3. And Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

And I've a hankering for a second playthrough of Mass Effect 3.

I usually get caught in a loop of indecision and end up procrastinating on these fucking forums instead of actually getting on with the games!

I'm not doing any second playthroughs on anything in order to clear this backlog. I really want to NG Demon's souls, but no. I want to Impossible XCOM, but no (probably couldn't anyway).

I'll allow myself another 500 hours of Civ, but for everything except MP it's a no.

My backlog quest has taken a serious dent, been spending far too much time playing persistent games like Planetside 2 and the utter dogshit Marvel Heroes.

Also just purchased 2 bundles so yeah...not going well. There is some serious temptation now as well with Gunpoint, The Swappers et all but I shall be strong.

Gunpoint is rather excellent and is only a few hours long...

    I'm not helping, am I?

My backlog clearing is going well. I'm completing games steadily, putting time into the multiplayer games I like, and ruthlessly abandonning games that don't grab me. Life is too short to play average/poor games.

Right them GTA campaign done and only a couple of games on pre-order, time to start the backlog piles (!)

Rather than a list of 50+ titles I'm going to go for blocks of 5 in no order.

    Risen 2 (around 70% in)
    Darkness 2
    Skyrim
    Splinter cell BL
    Borderlands 2 goty

I will have them all done in a couple of weeks...;)

How are you choosing how to tackle your backlog?

    A random number generator?

Start with what you feel like?

Do the least rated games first so you can then look forward to better ones as motivation to push on through?

Or vice versa in case you get struck by a meteorite tomorrow?

    Or in order of age?

It's enormous my backlog. It blocks out the gaming sun.

    @TOOTR

For me I'm thinking RNG...I like that ;)
or 2/1 in favour of 8-10 single player games to a mammoth RPG

My current method of backlog clearing has involved selling and giving away games I know I will sadly never play or finish now the next gen is so close.

I will keep dragons dogma, gears 3, GTA v and metro last light to try to work on over Xmas etc

I do kind of weep for all the Skyrim expansions and many other XBLA games I bought, but will never ever start, but hope my son will get the benefit of them in the years to come.

Well some of them anyway, anyway. I guess the likes of blood dragon etc will have to be deleted.

whenever this thread gets resurrected, I tend to go back and see what it said in my last post, before realising I still have the same number of games on the list!

this time round, I've removed 8 of them (2 of which I'm currently playing), whilst I sold Halo 3 thinking I may pick it up as a freebie later this month.

    Dishonored
    Fallout:NV & DLC
    Catherine
    XCom
    Halo CE
    de Blob 2
    DJ Hero2
    Child of Eden
    Mark of the Ninja
    I Am Alive
    Fez
    Kinect Fitness thing
    Zeno Clash
    Splosion Man
    Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
    Spelunky

this just leaves 6 new ones, picked up for around 20 in total...

    Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
    Crysis
    Far Cry 3
    Blood Dragon
    Guardian Heroes
    Beatles Rock Band

After that, there's another 10 I want to replay, and around 5 I haven't yet bought before I move onto the next generation!

    @FuzzyDuck

    Not really, no.

I only got the game because I loved playing the first one on the PlayStation 2 (at launch) and hadn't played a Tekken game since ... and it was only 8.99 too.

I suppose you are looking for someone to play against or with?

    @CharlieStCloud

    Ah fair enough!

I played a lot of it when it came out, although I find the modern form of Tekken (near endless juggles) not particularly fun (mostly because I play it like the older games).

Was just wondering if you were on for a few casual fights if you were still playing it :)

Yeah it's crazy to think that back when I were a lad (I think I'm allowed to say that now, I'm going grey!) I owned 5 games on the NES. Rented every 3rd weekend (probably less when the weather picked up) and swapped Mario 3 for my neighbour's Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles game every few months. The situation was pretty similar when I had a Mega Drive...

In the post this week I'm waiting on Dishonoured GOTY, Just Cause 2 and God of War Ascension. Last week I started Sly: Thieves In Time, Ratchet & Clank 1, TVHM playthrough of Borderlands 2 (for which I have the season pass and have yet to touch 2 of the 4 DLCs) and a fourth playthrough of The Last Of Us. Previous week saw a fresh start on Metal Gear Rising and have started a career on NHL 13.

I'm about half way through Demon's Souls, have the DLC from Dark Souls to get through, about half way through Mass Effect 3 (even though I keep swapping between that and ME 2), just started Ninja Gaiden 2 too. I'm also alternating my (two main loves) fighting and racing between Virtua Figther 5: FS, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, King Of Fighters 13, Sonic Transformed, Forza 4, PGR 4 and Wipeout HD. For some inexplicable reason, I'm currently playing a regular playthrough of Arkham City on the Xbox, which wiould be fine if not for the fact that I'm also playing a NG+ run of it on the PS3

There's an untouched copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD sitting on my shelf which was lent to me by a mate. When I'm done with that they're gonna give me Dragon Age Origins and Dragon's Dogma.

This is getting embarrassing so I won't list the Wii, DS, PSN, XBL and emulated (mostly MAME and some SNES) games that are also on the go

    I don't like this thread...

I have only played 6 games from the backlog since my last post here in October, but looking back, I've actually bought several games on a whim during assorted sales, some of which I've played, but most of which I haven't, seeing as I'm going through a phase of being slightly bored with games right now.

    Dishonored
    Fallout:NV & DLC
    Catherine
    XCom
    Halo CE
    de Blob 2
    DJ Hero2
    Child of Eden
    I Am Alive
    Kinect Fitness thing
    Zeno Clash
    Splosion Man
    Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
    Spelunky
    Blood Dragon
    Guardian Heroes

    new purchases

    Resident Evil 4
    Sleeping Dogs
    Tomb Raider
    Bioshock Infinite
    Remember Me
    Runner 2
    State of Decay
    Mars: War Logs
    The Bridge
    Lego: LOTR

Still no need to get a PS4/Xbone anyway!

I'd say it was around 10 years ago where, if I didn't have a backlog of games, I'd probably have maybe 2 or 3.

Now though, shit. psp, ps vita, ps2, ps3, 360, ps1 (psp cfw), ds lite... Looking at a figure that's triple digits seems appropriate.

Not a complaint though. I like I have that entire library but man, it's alot of fuckin games.
