    Well - the recent UFO sightings have probably got something to do with the way our planets are aligned at the moment... It's not a ridiculous claim that planetary alignment has a lot to do with sightings. Reasons are as follows:
    Some people (with very bad eyesight) think that closer planets are alien invasion fleets (or something similar).
    Logic dictates that if aliens were to be passing through our solar system then they would want to sling-shot off a few planets. They may also want to make a pit-stop for supplies on Earth.
    Now, I see some men in white coats coming to drag me away quietly...

    Of course, that's not how sling-shotting works at all, so no wonder flying saucer spanners think it might be of relevance.

    Glad you spotted the sarcasm in my statement haha!
    Slingshotting wouldn't work like that at all as the vector the craft would take would be designed specifically to increase the velocity to maddening levels without the need to burn as much fuel. I think "slingshot" is a deceptive word for it too - it's more like an interstellar trebuchet :D
    Aliens do exist - but the thing is, they're bright enough to leave the human race to it's own devices. A bit like how we grow bacteria in Agar...

    In this day and age of HD cameras and phones with high quality video. You'd think they'd be able to take a good quality video instead of a blurry, out of focus clip of a fucking weather ballon!

    Blair sadly not abducted by aliens
    The declassified documents - from the MoD unit which investigated UFO claims from 1950 until it was shut down in 2009 - also include several sightings and investigations.

    These include:

    A memo noting claims the naval task force sailing to liberate the Falklands in 1982 had been shadowed by UFOs - "presumably Little Green Men in ponchos"
