It's a character-driven episode. The fact that you can have an episode that literally consists of two characters standing around in an enclosed space talking - and being utterly entranced by the end of it - is an indication of how bloody good the characters are on this show.
Bottle episodes don't work without good characters, but when you have those they can turn out to be some of the best episodes of any TV program. I remember an episode of Community where the whole thing revolved around the attempts to find someone's pen. It was similarly awesome.
