To my mind - when you want Pizza, Burgers, Crisps, whatever - you WANT unhealthy, greasy shite. So Pizza Hut, Burger King etc. serve a purpose - sometimes I just fancy a pizza, and accept that it's unhealthy. But guess what? I eat fruit, I exercise. Nothing wrong with crap once in a while.

Pizza Hut and McDonalds should stop all this transparent, led-by-focus-groups shite. McD's salads have more fat than the bloody burgers anyway.

I hate all this stuff. Low fat crisps? I WANT fat in my crisps, dammit, I hate cardboard. If I want healthy, I'll eat salad or Ryvita (or maybe pasta, just not in fucking Pizza / Pasta Hut). Same goes for Diet fizzy drinks - Aspartame is miles worse for you than sugar. Stupid fecking bastards.

Actually - sod all that - Pizza Hut make rubbish pizza anyway. Dominoes are better, and are in turn usurped by my local pizza place.

I'm actually a keen supporter of Papa John's as the best supplier of deliverable cheesy bread snacks.

That noise you heard was me physically transforming into my Dad.

Fuck, you sound just like me.

    Am I your dad?

Do you look like you have swallowed a medicine ball and are racist not because you dislike foreigners, but because you think its funny and you like to annoy people?

Wagon-wheel-sized, freshly made wood-oven pizza for 5 EUR, made by a family from Naples, directly opposite from where I live.

Pizza Hut is of course utter shite.

We seem to have the 'What's the best take out pizza?' debate every month. :)

    It's dominos of course.

Pizza Express if fucking shit, it just maximised that whole 'fake Italian pizzaria' feel and then mass produced it. Its fucking worse than Pizza Hut, at least its not trying to be a faux decent eatery.

I spit on Pizza Express's rotting, tiny pizza eating corpse!

Yeah you get the occasional troopers here too, better quality for cheaper by genuine italians (or sometimes cypriot) but with all the big chains being so marked up it's not surprising to see the independents with similar prices. That said if you go into central london there are loads of places that do amazing pizza for 5-8.

You want cheap pizza though, Gangsters in Headingly is the place. 14" pizza with the toppings of your choice for 1.99 :D

Can't remember if you have to sign a waiver before consuming it or not though.

According to someone in the comments thread of the original article, only 30 stores nationwide and being rebranded, and even that is only temporary.

Yeah that's insane, even my local kebab owner was telling me he's had to start charging extra for his home made chilli sauce to cover costs. And he's a pretty reasonably priced guy.

Good to see people are spitting on Pizza Express. The original is dandy in central London but fuck the others up their asses.

Best pizza for me outside of Italy are either the one in Muswell Hill, La Porchetta, which is ridiculously busy all the time, or Marine Ices in Chalk Farm.

Got to say I am not generally a fast food snob - there are times where you just want a burger with fries. But when it comes to pizza, I never use chains. They just can't compete on any level with Italian restaurants, many of which have a delivery service.
