So it's not a comedy then? Hmm...

He's really putting himself on the line here... if this turns out to be shit, he can't really go around bitching about other people making shit TV anymore.

The fake comments under the video are quite well observed too.

Website does look good. As long as it doesn't take itself too seriously, but just seriously enough to not be stupid, it could be good fun.

No way this is going to be serious, it has Kevin Eldon in it for fuck sake.

Isn't there already a thread about this?

Something about a zombie apocalypse virus and the only survivors are contestants in a big brother style reality tv house leaps to mind.

Saw the ad for this last night and thought 'aww whats this shit...', then suddenly caught a flash of Eldon's face then instantly got mentally excited.

    Mentally excited, yes.

    Dropped my bourbon.

If it's anything like the Skins one I was (un)fortunate enough to get tickets to, they will ask you to fill in a questionnaire as well and basically gauge public response to the show.

Brooker on Dead Set in today's Guardian.

Sounds ace, but then he would big it up.

I'm known for championing series like The Wire. Dead Set very much isn't The Wire; instead, it's unashamed populist schlock. Warped and disgusting populist schlock, I hope, but shlock nonetheless.

Running zombies > walking zombies - what's scary about something that shuffles towards you and then falls over??

In the event of a zombie uprising, I'd personally prefer the slower zombies (for comedy reasons and to stand a chance at survival), but for a good scare its running zombies for the win every time

oh and to get back on topic... dead set looks ACE, if for no other reason but to see Davina Mccall (sp?) be brutally disembowelled (fingers crossed) :-)
