Yes, I realise that title should bring in every Peter File on the forum, but...

I'm finally marking the onset of old age. That special time in my life is here. I need a nasal hair trimmer. Frankly, I'd rather walk down to Boots and purchase a concrete dildo, but I can't go on trimming the hedgerows by MacGyver-ing other household items. (Don't ask.)

I can't be alone here, so... does anyone have any make/model recommendations? I cry easy, so I don't want some evil bastard thing that thinks pulling them out at the root is the same as trimming.

    Anyone help?

I've just got a cheap one from Superdrug/Boots. Fiver I think. Got it from the missus as a joke present one year. Not a very subtle hint. Works though and better than plucking

I use a Wahl one, was about 4.99 from SuperDrug. Doesn't hurt one little bit and is rinse clean.

I'm 25 BTW and have been using nasal trimming devices for aroung 7 years.

Petrol sniffed from a lit zippo, or a knife up the nose for a bit of scraping.

    Plubs

Yeah, I need to solve this issue.

Question, is trimming better than plucking?

I'm aware plucking will hurt like fuck, but I'm concerned about ending up with bushes growing out my nose if i trim.

    Finger and thumb.

    Push up nostril.

    Grip.

    Pull.

    Wipe away tear.

    Get on with life.

You jest. I get the occassional grey one up me noz. REally thick and coarse, it's gross. Luckily it's only once or twice a year.

Kal - you're right, they do come back with a vengeance!

Plucking allows you to admire the mighty, black, gleaming, thickness that is nostril hair.

I get grey eyebrows, nostril hair, head hair. Not a lot, just a few here and there. Doesn't bother me, I think grey will be cool, George Clooney like.

I sometimes pull them out too when I feel them peeking out :)

It's like a personal version of record breakers.

Much to my wife's disgust, I haven't got a grey hair on my head (and I've still got a full head of hair). Not bad at 35.

This thread is really gay isn't it?

You should be careful when trimming nasal hairs as you can overdo it. Nasal hairs serve a valuable purpose, like sticking out when you're talking to a gorgeous woman or providing a safe haven for snack bogeys.

I pulled a nasal hair recently which felt like it was turning my sinuses inside out. Turned out to be almost two inches long and white as Santa's beard.

The girl who cuts my hair now trims my eyebrows without needing to be asked. Those f***ers creep up on you, I can tell you.

    Nowt wrong.

Except my missus likes to remove them herself... strange lass. Aswell as having a vendetta against any eyebrow hair over 1cm in length. It becomes quite disconcerting when I'm trying to watch TV and hair is being ripped from my face. Bizarrely, she loves it when I don't shave.

    Makes no sense.

/presently has 9 days beard growth, perfectly shaped eyebrows and squeakly clean nostrils

The day charity died - NEVER FORGET

(the mic was OK in the end)

If you want to grow a beard, how would your work take it? I think the inbetween stage where you just look scruffy may cause some issues.

    Ear hairs.

I've had the occasional massive ear hair snaking out me lugs. they dwarf everything else. less pain than nose ones though.
