    Sasquatch Time

A recent interesting video and a round up of other "decent" ones.

There was also a DNA analysis paper meant to be knocking about, maybe being peer reviewed at the moment. Did sound a bit dodgy from a scientific publishing point of view.

    Interesting UFO clip from Denver.

Filmed by bloke, then independently filmed by news crew. Definitely not a bloody Chinese lantern, which most UFO videos seem to be these days.

Maybe some fancy RC helicopter but seems a bit fast to me. The "expert" is sure it's not bugs.
Is that aviation expert related to this expert on water?

    DNA press release.

    More on the DNA

As a former scientist, there are scientific journals...and there are scientific journals. Some would publish a shopping list if you paid them. So I'm not sure about this, but look forward to reading it and picking huge holes in it.

Been reading Glitch in the Matrix stories on reddit during loading bars and wondered if any of you lot had ever had any reality breakdowns on your watch?

The most vivid one (with a witness) I remember was one day when me and my mate Simon were supposed to be decorating my nephew's bedroom, but were in fact playing games on the spectrum 128 - to cover our arses, we'd barricaded the door with the stepladder and some paint cans so we'd have time to hide the evidence if anyone thought to check on our progress.

So we're playing away, taking turns at Nemesis the Warlock, I think, when we hear a knock at the door. My dog as is usual goes apeshit and that shit is loud, bark bark bark bark we hear him tear his way at top speed to yell at the door. Then we hear my sister go to the door, tells the dog to shut up and she proceeds to have a conversation at the door with a man with a really deep voice. We couldn't make out what either of them were saying, just the general tone and cadence.

We were nosy fuckers as well as being slackers, so when the door is shut we decide to unbarricade the door, make some tea and ask my sister and mother who was just at the door. Worth noting that neither my sister nor my mother are prone to practical jokes. If it had just been my sister I wouldn't have written it off as her general weirdness, but mum ... no.

No-one was at the door, they say. No, the dog didn't bark, what are you guys smoking in there? Einstein's been asleep on the living room floor the whole time.

I had one like that - we'd been shopping to Ikea, we'd picked up a Sunday newspaper, and my Mrs read stories out from it on the way home. This is around the Diana death conspiracy times. One item in the story was about how a senior member of the royal family had been found up to no good (it implied gay-raping staff). We discussed it in the car.

A day later I went to read the article for myself, but that bit was no longer in the article. Wife had no recollection of it. However the story did resurface a few years later.

I've always taken this as proof the royal family own a time machine.

Walking to work once I realised it was too quiet. I thought for a moment everyone else had disappeared in the night. Then a car drove past. True story.

Was it a Thursday? All my 'where the fuck is everyone?' days seem to occur on Thursdays, so I'm assuming there's some wider sociological trend/reason to account for the frequency of less people around on Thursday morning commutes.

Thursdays or 213.45.wcn.b is the designated clone maintenance downtime.

Expect reduced volumes in all simulations.

I cannot remember what day it actually was. It was misty and very quiet and I did not see a single soul for the first 5 minutes of my walk. I was just thinking yes at last you fuckers have all gone and I can start on building my fortress when the car drove past. A dream crushed.

Woke up late for school. Trip to swimming pool that morning! No time for breakfast - no-one else is up anyway! Dressed fast, grabbed the bag and ran up the road. No one else on the way in - bad sign: truely late. Gate shut! Oh god oh god oh god oh god I've never had that before. It's not locked though! In and running again. No one in classrooms I pass. No one in any playground. There's no-one there. I can't get into my classroom - the doors locked. Where is everyone? They can't have all gone swimming can they? I rattle the damn door - open!! It doesn't. What's going on here??!!!

Short fat old man comes around corner holding a spade. "What are you doing?" he says. I don't know what to say. I back away. A hand lands on my shoulder, "Are you alright?" It's my brother. "I'm late!" I say. "No you're not - it's only just 8 o'clock. We thought something was wrong with you."

Totally matrix up until that last bit.

I was thinking you'd forgotten that day was a holiday or something. I can't remember if that happened to me once or if I dreamed it.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

    Regarding matrix glitch:

We had one of these recently. The dog's harness that attaches to his lead went missing for 2 days. We looked and looked and looked but no. Eventually it turned up. It was laying right in front the speaker that's sitting next to the tv. We couldn't believe it! The sofa faces the tv. We would have seen it!

The only theory that could explain it without invoking the matrix is the dog moved it but we leave it on the floor all the time he has never showed any inclination to move it ever or since. Wierd.

One of those weird things that washed up in New York some time ago has landed on a beach here. Funny thing is everyone called fake with the last one.

    Looks more like Cyril Sneer.

Interesting blog on various historical stories and mysteries. Like Cracked it's got an obsession with Tesla and the Roosevelt family, but it's a bit more focused on historical accuracy.
