We need another of these threads - lets try to make it as good as the last one. I'll try not to get banned.

    cctv of 'abduction'

It has Riker in it and everything.

Yes. He was abducted. By beer.

Last thing he remembers it's 11, then suddenly it's gone 1 and he's vomiting and staggering about.

Apparently the video is authentic because little effort has been put into making it look authentic! Brilliant!

    That's cool.

Also, it could very well still be an elaborate hoax. Finding a way to short out the CCTV while you make a big flash and the guy runs off, then bringing him back the same way.

"The letter writer believes that the tape is valuable and expects to be paid for it"

    There's the rub.

Somehow 'The Mong Skull' doesn't have quite the same ring to it...

I've always had a soft spot for the Voynich manuscript. Dunno why, and I'm sure it's just some nutter's soup recipies from the middle ages or something, but I find the fact that nobody's translated it makes it so much more exciting.

Pretty sure that it's been proved a fake some time ago. If it's not, it's written in a code too sophisticated for even modern computers/decryption tools to handle. Still, awesome practical joke! :)

    From your link:

The "biological" section of the manuscript has dense text and illustrations showing nude women bathing.

    :D

This book seems to contain a chapter about everything. What the hell could it be? (if real)

I'd say whale, stripped of its outer layers of fat. The marks on the body don't look natural.

Shit, I was about to actually do some work.

I'd love to go and see The Money Pit sometime. It's probably just looks like a big hole in the ground but still.

Here are a couple of the links from the last thread:

    Caver Ted***

Mel's Hole Part 1 and 2 and the second radio show he did which ramps up the weirdness a bit more

***This is just a really good short story with pics but it is pretty unnerving so thought it was worth it.

I'd say it's "Tremors." I'm sure I can see Kevin Bacon in the back of one of those shots.

Fake, obviously, (in fact, it's absed on a "real" short story) - but an excellent read all the same.
