    Alan Partridge is without doubt the best known of his characters, but God knows he's done quite a lot of different ones.
    Which character did you like best? I think Paul Calf gets my vote.

    Yeah, some of his none Partridge stuff on The Day Today was superb - but it has to Partridge that stand out above all others.

    I don't like Alan Partridge. Saying that however, I've only ever seen a few episodes.

    Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I dunno, it's just something I don't see the appeal of.

    Loved Coogan in 24 Hour Party People however.

    Partridge is my favourite, obviously, but a big fan of Tommy Saxondale too. Love everything Coogan did on The Day Today as well.

    Definitely Partridge, though Gareth Cheeseman (?) was also pretty special. The cock with the Ford Probe.
