This directed at me? TBH I have no use for it. Going price on eBay is usually less than 10 without postage.

    Make me an offer. :-)

Was just thinking how there's no point in having this lying around the house. I'd happily send it to the first person to give me 10. Posting from Ireland btw.

Tempted, but I have seen it a million times. Not sure I'd watch it much more other than to see the transfer, I'll give it a miss. Cheers anyway.

Cheers for th T2 heads up, could be worth a shot

Amazon.com are currently having a Blu-ray sale, up to 50% off 83 different titles.

Won't work on PAL PS3s though will they?
    Edit: Unless they're multi-region

I posted a link on one of the previous pages that lists all of the region free BD's, so it's easy to see if they are suitable for a UK PS3.

I've just had a look and there's some decent ones on there; No Country for Old Men, 3:10 to Yuma and Descent are a good start.

That's what I thought, but No Country for Old Men says REgion 1? Or is that just what they do, but they'll work?

According to Movietyme and the Blu-ray Stats website, it is region free. So it should play fine on your UK PS3.

Maybe someone else can confirm this though.

I've got a feeling my wallet could be getting an expensive surprise later this afternoon, there's quite a few I want to get off that list!

It's probably just a default thing on Amazon, but not sure I want to order only to find they don't work!

Interesting. Can it be that this is the beginning of consumer friendly pricing for DVDs? I saw a few low priced BDs in stores here recently too. Hmm... /strokes beard

    @Dougs

    Use this

    and also

    This

First link is Movietyme blog which usually updates every couple of days listing new releases and whether they are region free.

The second is what region free titles they currently stock.

it's no suprise really, but the transformers disc is very good.
Though the dolby digital track seems a little week, probably a lot better if you have a trueHD amp...need to take it round my pops.

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

I'm so tempted to order Iron Man at the end of the month. It'll be around 20, and probably half that if I wait a couple of months..

It may be region free but last time I looked it costs more or less the same in the States.

    Portable view - Never forget.

Well, I have a US PS3 anyway. I think MovieTyme has it for 18 and free shipping, and even that seems a little much. I downloaded the 1080p trailer from the PS3 store and it's stunning. I nearly placed an order immediately after viewing it. It also spoils the movie entirely if you haven't already seen it. :)

ref Iron Man, 2disc special edition or 2 disc Ultimate edition ?
The special seems to have more extras, I thought "Ultimate edition" would be the best

Oh, I was looking at the Ultimate edition. I was under some bizarre illusion that it would be the ultimate edition. I feel like such an idiot. :(

Any ideas if the US Iron Man is region free?

The Ultimate one seems to be DVD and the Special Edition seems to be Blu Ray, bit confusing.

    Portable view - Never forget.

    Yes, it is.

    MovieTyme blog entry

The 2 Disc Blu-ray version (just 18.99 with free shipping!) is expected to be Region Free too!!

I'd take that as a given.
