    I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH ANY OF THIS STUFF

    Should I just chuck it all?
    What can I spend my energy credits on?
    Alloys, traces, artifacts and samples are components used in crafting. Schematics also are used for crafting, but they dictate what you can actually make. Find a place called Memory Alpha and do the tutorial quests there.

    The batteries and shield charges are useful when you reach higher level combat.

    The things actually called components along with the regenerators have no use unless you switch to hard.

    Tribbles can be used on the ground to give you a fairly minor boost. But those fuckers will eat any food you have and breed.

    Shield array can be added to your ship as an upgrade (assuming your current array is not better)

    Lock boxes can be opened with keys purchased with real life monies. Who knows what's inside?

    Tholian lock boxes are containing far too many fleet bonuses that's what I've found! The fuckers are bound as well so you can't trade them, I currently have 34000 fleet bonus at the moment.

    Did a bunch of Tholian ground missions yesterday, the medium is pretty easy to solo, especially with my security escorts and the Shard of Possibilities helping out, 10 fleet marks per mission during the fleet event.

    I would have got more but I forgot I had to visit my sister after work as it was my niece's birthday and I was late by a few minutes to hand in the last of my repeat missions.

    I've been a staunch defender of the pricing in general (it is free to play, after all) but that one is ridiculous. A single EV Suit, with worse stats than most of the good ones that drop on the Tholian world, for a single character, for about 6 quid (ish, I'm not doing maths) just because it's the one from the TV show is terrible value for money.

    I really do hope it sells badly so it either becomes per character but bound once claimed from the store, or cheaper. Preferably one months stipends.

    We're going to have a lovely looking Starbase in about 2 hours. Just put the last of the dilithium towards it....better be worth it.

    Well done all :) Wish I could've been on more to help but I've been busy. Can't be all that far from the first upgrade either, I think.

    Did they add the moon to Earth space? I'm sure I never noticed it before...anyway, special project is done. There's a few plants knocking about and everything.

    The moon's been there since open beta I'm pretty sure. Pretty cool that you can see the cities on it. :)

    quite a lot of dilithium is needed for the shipyard upgrade and the starbase upgrade, think that might end up slowing us down

    other thing I noticed is that you can rename the starbase...

    I've fought my way back up to 18. How tedious was the Doomsday mission series? I thought it would never end!

    My next ship is now in sight; might even blast through to grab it tonight if I get time.

    I'm very much enjoying my return to the game so far. Only one irritation so far is that my rank pips have disappeared again... but whatever.

    I've saved up around 4k of dilithium so far, and will continue to save up as I progress so I can make some use of myself when I level out.

    A bug seems to have cropped up in a recent update, you can't change pips or communicators at the moment, I hadn't noticed until I started leveling my alt.

    Ah, I thought I was missing that. I got the Mirror Universe outfit and wondered why I could add pips/change comm. I thought it was just that top that restricted it.

    20 again! Holy shit... how slow is the heavy cruiser? I feel like a slightly mobile hill, but thankfully I can take as much punishment.

    Missions are becoming increasingly nonsensical. I remember why I quit last time. Funnily enough, it doesn’t bother me anymore. The story is only an excuse to mash the keyboard anyway. I’m having a blast fiddling with my crew and ship setup. I may be a bit too attached to my bridge officers though… I keep throwing away better ones. Are you meant to change them all the time?

    I've still got the same bridge crew that I started with, they're like old friends now and they're all maxed out on skills. I also have about 10 unused bridge crew sitting in the "holding pen".

    We'll hit starbase level 1 later today so fleet ships will become available, remember you have to buy fleet modules with Zen though, 1 for a ship type you already have, 4 for one you don't.

    If you fly towards the moon there is a temporal rift with a bar with a load of NPC's from the various missions

    The balance is between the fact that you've invested bridge officer points into their skills, and the bonus abilities/better passives higher quality bridge officers have (like superior creativity, superior leadership etc.). Unless you're doing elite difficulty, PvP or STFs it's probably not worth worrying about - though I would have a look at the passives each BO has, as some have boosts to expose chance or exploits which make certain weapon/skill combos more effective.

    One way of keeping extra bridge officers is to put them up on the exchange for high prices, then not reclaim them when they don't sell. Wish you could just keep the spare ones in the bank, or use them as duty officers.

    Not for everyone - lifers and Veterans only. Not that it's all that nice, I prefer popping back to Earth Spacedock or DS9 for a cheeky pint ;)

    I've still got one of my starter BOs, but I think I've replaced the rest in time. However, I always write a bit of story in my Personal Log to explain their departure so I know that they're moving on to better thing.
