I hope they stay well clear of the Dungeon running formula.
I want more EVE and less WoW. I dont want to get ' Deflector dish of the tiger ' as a reward for beaming up 15 marooned ferengi to replace my slightly dated ' Tarnished Deflector Dish'.
I would like a more free-form player driven environment. The ability to not only improve the technology and efficiency of my ship but also the competence of my ships crew.
I would like to be a Ferengi.
I would like to see Deanna Troy's tits.
I think it's possible ther will be slight dungeon running, but I can't see it being a mandatory thing thanks to transporters and the focus on ships. At least I hope not. I also agree getting stuff like 'Deflector dish of the tiger' would suck. I'm sure it'll be upgradable, but you can just quantify that.
The ships themselves are fairly freeform and customisable. From interviews, it's claer it'll be a WAR-ish situation - a Chaos Chosen always looks like a Chaos Chosen, even if he does have a special armour. The ships are always claerly of a specific class, but you could still customise the look.
Ferengi wil be in it. Deanna Troi's tits will most likely not, or at least be a Collectors Edition unlockable.
I know the crew rank up and get upgraded, which I'm looking forward to. I like a little grninding in an MMO. Not a lot though, just a bit that I can do to drive my crew ahead of other players, for the sake of PvP, should I play it. I hope there isn't too much focus on it though, isn't very Trekish.
I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi
