Who?
But a Google search reveals him to look like a thinner, younger Bill Bailey. -

Registered 6 years agoSimilar, yes, but as Bill Bailey has been doing the same stuff for the last 10 years, Tim's a refreshing replacement.

I saw him about a year back in Reading. I knew nothing about him at the time, except that he was worth seeing. Was blown away by how entertaining he was.

You'll have a great time. -

Islam, Nationalism, BUILDAAAAAAA! xD.gif)
Thanks TT, I've got the (seemingly rare) DVD of his last tour and have watched it more times than I'd care to admit to! Can't wait to see him live though.gif)

Registered 6 years agoDamnit! Due to scheduling conflict (read g/f's schedule conflict) I'm not able to make this now. If anybody wants the tickets though they're up on eBay. It's at the Exeter Phoenix on the 2nd October.
(Shamelessly plugging my auction, I know, but I don't really want to lose out on £45 and nobody seems to do refunds on tickets any more
)
Can a mod change the thread title to "D'oh! I have to sell my Tim Minchin Live Tickets
" please?

Registered 11 years agoI've just got back from seeing him in High Wycombe.
Fucking superb, particularly his song directed at the critic who gave him a bad review on his first appearance in the UK.gif)
The 9 minute beat poem was awesome too.
Yay for Tim Minchin! -

I'm the only person who has posted since your nuggets of joy post.
And what isn't there to love about him?

Ready For This is an awesome show.gif)
One part that was particularly great that I doubt you'll get was when one of the gels (translucent filter thingy) fell out of a light above Tim and drifted down onto the stage. After looking perplexed, then having a mock row with the backstage people, Tim then took to holding it over his head throughout the next song

Registered 8 years agoSaw Tim Minchin on Sunday night in Reading. I enjoyed the performance but couldn't shake the sensation that if I'd spent 90 minutes looking for Minchin videos on youtube, I'd have had a similar amount of fun. -

Registered 6 years agoI saw him last Saturday in Bristol and couldn't disagree more. The show was brilliant, and worth seeing live just for the feeling of being part of the audience of whom I'd say at least 80% had heard some of his stuff before, whenever he started one of his old songs the room went mental.
Highly recommended if there are any tickets left on this tour. -

Registered 6 years agoI saw him about a month or 2 back at the Lowry, only seen a few videos of him, but got his gist. Amazing performer, and very funny bloke to boot. Bill Bailey but BETTER, dare I say. -

That depends on what you've seen online, I think there are some vids of his new stuff on there. If you've only seen his stuff from the last tour though then yes, there's a load of new material
