I'm the opposite. I really cannot stand being hot at all. I always like it to be nice and cool, cold even. Not keen on the rain, obviously, but don't get the big fuss of people running about panicked when it does fall.

I don't care. It makes me feel more uncomfortable than a pair of boxer shorts six sizes too small.

    Covered in bees.

Doesn't seem as hot here as it was yesterday. Bloody hell, I thought I was going to die on the train.

Fuck that, how you're supposed to do anything I don't know.
Thing is, in countries where it's hot all the time (well, prosperous ones anyway), they have proper air conditioning installed everywhere, meaning it's generally cooler than here unless you're outside. Same thing goes for cold countries and dealing with snow. Our weather is so changeable that we're never ready for anything, meaning everything goes to shit the moment it gets too hot or too cold.

Yeah I used to live in Pakistan which regularly approached 50 in the summer. You either:

    (a) Don't notice it, as you're so used to it

    or

    (b) Don't notice it, as everywhere has aircon

My old man lives in South Africa. When I visited him it was so hot one day my nose just started bleeding. I can't handle the heat at the best of times. When ever I go on holiday people call me Casper cause I always head for the shade or the bar.

As with others, it's the humidity that gets me. Hot and sunny is great, but humid and cloudy with no breeze is just horrible, especially in the UK with our houses not having been built to deal with hot conditions.

I remember working in a big bakery one hot summer in the early 90s to help pay my way through university. The summer humidity was compounded by several massive walk-in ovens that generated insane heat, and I'd have to wear a big white boiler suit all day. Man, that was just horrible. I'd end the working day a big sweaty smelly mess - even my dog wouldn't go near me when I got home.

If only people knew how much sweat was in their food when they eat food from restaurants, especially during the summer :S

I was hoping for a picture of Adriana Lima in a bikini.

Instead I'm reminded about how fucking hot it is.

Nice surreptitious use of the word ubiquitous in a sentence about armpits in Korea.

I think AC is the wrong solution in countries where it's always warm. If you don't have AC you'll get used to the climate quite quickly, in just a couple of months, and then you'll be comfortable all the time (except when you go somewhere they have AC and get an instant cold). That's why I loved Malaysia and Singapore: it's so stable that you never have to worry about the weather.

    DSH?

    Wear linen.

    DSH = Do Something Hot.

I suggest pouring vaseline all over your body and licking your armpits suggestively.

to the tune of What What In The Butt.

Ah, how incredibly honest of you. Good work fella, it's a poor solution to difficult problems.

Emo opinion?: from your postings, clearly you are a capable, intelligent, amusing person who should have more faith in his abilities.

I lurk. If I've spoken to you, I'm either impassioned, or drunk.
