There was that news about ants where they are 3 super-colonies. one in US, one in Europe, one in Japan and that they're all buddies

none here, they would get washed away if they tried

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

There was a blizzard of the bastards earlier in the evening, it actually looked quite impressive as they all buzzed around in the sunlight.
Of course, I was inside at the time, safe from their flying attacks.

It really is flying ant day. It's the first day I've seen them this year but I saw loads of them, albeit all of the non-flying flying ant variety.

Anyone noticed that there are hardly any wasps around this Summer? Shit loads of bees though, which is good - I like bees :)

    Yes! \o/

You big wailing arachnophobe pussies have it lucky. At least spiders don't fucking fly :(

Although I wish they did, right into people's faces. That would be awesome :D

Arachnophobes in Britain are indeed pussies - spiders can't even hurt you, you bunch of limp-wristed losers.

That would out-awful having a cockroach flying at your face by a factor of about ten.

I'm not scared of wasps so I love them as they make me look cool in front of chicks. Chicks then ask me out. I end up having sex with hot chicks solely due to how coolly I reacted when a wasp landed on me.

Fucking ants, we have a nest or something in our house. I must've killed around 200 of them in the last week, we just set down some poison yesterday...

As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a ninja.

The best poison is that Nippon stuff that they think is food - deception and death, in one tiny tube

I kill wasps with my bare hands because I have virtually no immune response to stings

Has it been flying ant day yet? I saw a few yesterday but we haven't had the mass exodus round my neck of the woods so far this year.

The pavement outside work was literally covered in them for a good 20 yards or so yesterday. Crunchy.

The nest in my garden exploded with winged ants yesterday, all at the same instant.

Made me wanna play Earth Defence Force.

All the wasps are waiting until the end of this month, when they start dying. Then they'll come out in force, and they'll be PISSED OFF.

Ours was two weeks ago in our backgarden. There were patches of them dotted around the garden, like a boiling mass of tar. And then you look closer and there's just hundreds of them, jostling (bubbling) away, and then they all launched. It was cool. They're quite sweet really.

And Daddy Longlegs are flying spiders. Fact.

    RUN!

I saw a wasp eat a daddy long legs once. He ate the whole thing (minus wings and legs). I was impressed.

It's looking like either today or tomorrow for flying ant day. There were a few around earlier but I expect a full on cloud of them tomorrow morning.

I'm sunning myself in my grounds and there are several small mounds teaming with the fuckers.

    HOW DO THEY KNOW?
