Gah, one of my motion plus remotes is asking to be reconfigured every few seconds while playing this.

Mine was doing that the first time I played WSR. Seemed to just correct itself after a while.

I bought this on a whim basically, but was pleasantly surprised by it. It's an upgrade from the original Wii Sports anyway, and MotionPlus is pretty good.

I've got 2500 (the maximum) in swordplay showdown, and all 20 levels. Now just need to try and do level 20 without losing a heart.

I've also got all 80 i-points (felt like it was going to be impossible getting the last few) in the flying, but not yet decided to go back and get them in all three times of the day. Getting all of the white balloons just seems pretty impossible though.

A question for someone who owns this and the new Tiger Woods.

Is the golf in WSR anyway like TW? I can't get enough of the golf in WSR. I love it! I played 3 18 rounds today!

All I can think when flying is "WINGS! WINGS! WINGS!"

Anyone noticed M+ increasing battery use substantially, or have I mixed my charged and uncharged batteries by accident?

I got this for my birthday (after nagging the missus for weeks). So far table-tennis
and golf are favorite. I'm not that much of a golf-fan, but the subtleties in WSR have really drawn me in. Funny how it still looks like the original in Sports, but plays completely different.

Also it's hilarious to see a 5-year-old beat up a Mii by repeatedly whacking them on the head with a stick (and win) :D

I didn't notice any difference with or without M+ (I use 2100mAh NIMHs).

My five year old son has repeatedly battered me in the swordfighting!!! I wasn't holding back either.

    Well worth the purchase.

Mine too, it's a nightmare. I thought I would have a few years of gaming dominance still to come.

Just got this at the weekend for the Missus's birthday, she seems to approve. I'm loving the table tennis, I'm itching for a game in real life, I used to love it. I look like a complete tool playing it, doing a wee jump when I smash it.

Time to clear some space in the garage and get a real table I think.

table tennis in real life is just awesome

    +99

we used to play a lot during the lunch break at a company I used to work for (ah the good old days)

    30 minutes of table tennis a day for 1 year => m@d sk1lz :p

Table tennis in WSR is a (very) good 2nd. All that's really missing is online play (or I need to find someone with M+ and rearrange the living room...)

Stupid question. But how the hell do you skip that fecking retarded motion plus tutorial when you boot the game up. It's ridiculous, I've played the game before and been through it all. Now after a long time of not playing it's doing it again. So frustrating!!!!

there was a bug fixed by a firmware patch the day the game came out.

I bought this months after release. I was going to skip it, but GAME had a pre-owned copy that was a steal (only later did I discover the previous owner was a smoker and the silicone sleeve was permeated with the stench of cigarettes prompting an Ebay purchase of a replacement sleeve).

What a fool I was! It's quite brilliant, love the kendo, the archery (much better than Sonic and Mario at the Winter Games Beijing 2008), flying and bowling. I still haven't tried it all though. Wave racing is decent, but I do find the control configuration a bit fatiguing. If you were hesistating because you have Wii Sports, don't, it's really quite nice and more games are coming to Wii and WiiWare that use MotionPlus soon.

Yeah boxing really needs some precision. Guess that'll have to wait for a gyroscope-enabled Nunchuk!

I liked it. Sure as hell wasn't anything approaching 1:1 but once you got the way it wanted you to play it (I know) it was fine. The dodging worked well.

I'd have preferred to see boxing again than the other shitty sports in resort (wakeboarding, cycling, minge-munching, power cruising).

Ah, I had a natural disposition towards liking it then. Difference in opinions are now explained fully. ;)
