If it's anything like the last one it'll be one extended advert for The Witcher 2.

    Colonization! Hurrah!

And Tomb Raider, but who gives an arse about that.

Wing Commander and Ultima on sale this weekend.

Think I may have to treat myself to Wing Commander 3 and 4.

I used to love digging through the bargain bin, I think I found some of my unexpected favourite games that way!

    You mean aside from steam?

I think it's pretty simple for them to do dosbox packages for all the platforms for all the dos games, so there's no real reason why they shouldn't bother. It's more interesting to think they'll be adding support for first party CD Projekt titles.

Nope. I was referring to Phoronix reporting on this matter. I should have been clearer! Your suggestions sounds like common sense, but GOG says otherwise.

Likely to have mentioned already but I loved that old spectrum football game - I think it was called player of the year or something. Completely weird in that the matches were mostly text based until there was a chance, then you controlled the ball, not any players!

GOG for Mac? I bought The Witcher 2 when it was on sale pre-empting the Mac version but I don't think it will run on my MBP.

In one paragraph they talk all about Mac OS, and the next they talk about bringing in a new operating system. Would be rather anti climatic when the first paragraph makes it so obvious that Mac OS is getting lots of support and the second is just...what? Hinting at Mac OS again?

Don't get too excited. The "new OS" has been all but confirmed to mean "announcing Windows 8 support".

Well, that's not exciting at all. Everyone and their mother expected that they will continue supporting Windows.

This may just be a huge coincidence, but it has been pointed out to me that GOG's special announcement will be on the 18th of October which just so happens to be the same day that Ubuntu 12.10 is released. We'll just have to wait and see as to whether that means something.

Pay What You Want: Divinity Anthology

I never played the first two games but this still sounds like a mighty good deal. Is there anything in particular that I should know about these games beforehand? Will you guys be making use of this deal?
