today's update confirms that Epic MEGAGAMES as I will call them have signed up to GoG. Unreal and Unreal Tournament added today, more coming in the following weeks.

Awesome! (and yeah, I know they're on steam already. But it's still awesome).

Downloaded SHOGO-MAD from these guys, and it still doesn't fucking work, all kinds of graphical issues, leading to BSODs or just plain locking up the PC.

    I won't bother again.

I've bought six games off these fellows so far and not had trouble with any of them. No DRM, so I can back up. A web-copy I can download onto any PC I'm at. Extras like soundtracks often included. Cheap, cheap, cheap.

    GOG is awesome.

There's a special offer on at the moment too - buy two $9.99 games and get a $5.99 game free.

    ?

A little more info than that would be appreciated. I have yet to encounter any problems with their games.

Its worthwhile picking up Nomad Soul, long game with loads of different elements. Works great under Vista to.

It also has David Bowie and dry humping. A winning combination if I do say so.

They had a surprise release of the HARDEST GAME KNOWN TO MANKIND today.

    Only $5.99 too.

    Is BS3 good?

When they get Planescape and SS2 I'm there.

    I won a game!

    \o/

They're doing a random lottery thing in their IRC channel with other random small contests - I won the "quickest to name six game screenshots" one.

    yay me

If you could have any game remade, what would it be? For me it would be the original Alone in the Dark.

Robinson's Requiem. Comes packaged with the slightly easier sequel Deus as well.

It's a game where you can die if you stub your toe and don't disinfect it properly. Not exaggerating.

    Probably Beneath a Steel Sky.

Urghhh, ROTT gives me terrible motion sickness just thinking about it.
There was something about that game, must have been perspective or something, that makes me want to spew.

Cannon Fodder was all kinds of awesome. However, I'll hold off on the purchase until someone reports back on how well it works. Can't image it being very playable in fullscreen on a 22" widescreen.

This is top of my list of games that seriously need to be remade using current technology.

I loved that game so much. But only made it out of the first area due to a bug that made the Tiger freeze in place, allowing me to kill him with my bow.
Also, I would always survive up until the point where I ran out of matches and then not being able to boil water/cook meat/do anything really die from a mix of dehydration, infection and starvation.
