    Christ, no! I've tried... and failed, generally with *massive damage* to my wrist and ego.
    I can do with my left but not with my right, for some reason. And not very many. Just five feels like hard work.

    Did 15 on the initial test. I've never been any good at press-ups. Can do loads of sit ups though.

    I think I will persevere with this as I feel like I'm carrying a bit of timber at the moment. I'm apparently 13.5 stones (6') tall.

    On the sit-ups front, I got some good advice from a mate who is much fitter than me. He suggests lying on your back, butted up to a bed or sofa. Put your legs from the knee down on the bed/sofa, and your arse and thighs pressed against the 'upside' bit.

    Shitty ascii diagram follows:

    aaä¨|__o

    aaa is the bed
    ¨¨ is your feet, shins and knees
    | is you thighs
    __ is your back
    o is your head.

    Then do your sit-ups, twisting to the right and left on alternate lifts.

    Very tiring but much better effects, I've found.

    @Hairy Arse - I'm the same weight and an inch taller. That puts me as 'over weight' according to BMI which is utterly ridiculous.

    Did 100 jackknifes at the weekend on Wii Fit, the trainer just keeps on going!!

    Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

    WOO YEAH

    I'm psyched for doing this now.

    Even though I can't really attempt it until I've finished work at 6:30.

    WOO YEAH

    I've just done day one (10, 10, 8, 6 then 7), which I tacked onto the end of the usual weights I do (nowhere near as impressive as that sounds, I really don't do that much, I'm pretty unfit).

    I'm quite impressed: it was do-able, but took quite a bit of effort, which is ideal. I'm definitely gonna keep going. I know I can manage as many sit-ups as press-ups, so I might take the advice of whoever suggested earlier in the thread that we do the same number of sit-ups on rest days.

    I'm doing the middle column. Day 1. I almost died on Level 5. :D My muscles are twitching so I assume this will work wonders for my untrained relaxed body. :)

    I wonder how Gremmi got on.

    DONE. DO ONE.

    Phew. Just got through Day 1, 3rd col. Managed 8.5 on level 5... Sort of collapsed trying to do a ninth.

    I think I pretty much pulled my abs doing the Initial Test yesterday, so today I feel GENETICALLY DIFFERENT BABY.

    Gem of a find though. Doubt I'd be able to keep disciplined enough to keep going with a schedule I set.

    My arms don't feel too bad, but the muscles/tendons joining my arms to my chest feel like knackered out old rubber bands now.

    -- boobs do nothing for me, I want moustaches and chest hair.

    Ah, that's a good thing tho'[1]. That means your muscles have been ever-so-slightly torn, and will be reborn as fitter, healthier, larger muscles in the coming days.

    [1] Unless you've seriously torn your muscle. In which case, you'll be laid up in bed, able to do little more than drink orange juice and watch Fern and Phil[2].

    [2] This is what we call a 'win-win' situation.

    My triceps were stiff and in pain this morning. Focused around my elbows... I spent ten minutes doing triceps stretches and the pain went away for the most part. I really understand the significance of the rest dys now. Ow! My front shoulder muscles and chest are starting now. ;_; all from doing a measley 28 pushups :D

    Disappointed with my level 5 max out performance today, I put it down to my daughters waking me at 5.30 this morning. Days rest tomorrow and on to day 2 come Thursday. Good innit!

    Day 2 motherbitches! :)

    This thread is completely unfindable with the EG search. :( I had to do some google trickery to find it.

    My muscles are still throbbing from day 1. But they feel nice and solid. :) This might be quite effective!

    I'm going to start this tonight too. Managed to do 30 last night in the initial test so i'm almost a third of the way there!

    I think it'll be quite an achievement to do 100 in a row, my upper body needs a workout too as i only do running for exercise.

    I do 2 sets of 25 before my morning 2 mile run. Only up to 19 in a row though.

    No really.

    I just did 90, but then I used to work out a few years ago and I've still got some of that muscle.

    i could probably rock out about 40 in one go i reckon.

    That said, Ive not been to the gym in about a year and am probably the flabbiest ive ever been so maybe more like 30 or less.

    will give it a go tonight and report back.

    Just remembered another good workout plan.

    Get a deck of cards and pick 4 exercises.

    hearts = lunges
    clubs = pushups
    diamonds = squats
    spades = situps

    shuffle the pack and just work through, doing whatever number comes up for each excercise. If you are reasonably fit, count picture cards as 10 reps. if you are unfit, count them as a rest. Aces are high.

    Like the sound of that a_j, but how many cards would you normally suggest?
