    hmm, I go to the gym fairly regular and I can only do about 45 tops, good luck doing 100 :)

    I could do 40 to 50 a while back, but I injured my hand and gave up.

    Might have a go at this and see if I can get above 50.

    I haven't done push-ups for months - I do chin-ups using a bar instead. I managed 50 before feeling pooped.

    I'd really suggest a chin-up bar if you have the space - 20 of those a day has made more difference than 80 press-ups a day used to. It's also a fuckton less tiring!

    I can easily do over 150 situps but I can only manage about 20 pushups, I have legs like a bull but scrawny arms :)

    I started doing some chin ups on the underground the other day; I had to stop after about 5, when I realised that I was getting some very strange looks from the other passengers.

    Lies! I can't do chin-ups: being horribly overweight doesn't help but the actual problem is that my shoulders are weak as hell. I have no problem training other body parts but I always have to use low weights for my shoulders, I just can't take the pain.

    No, you do it three days a week. With a rest day in between each day if you like.

    Yes, I would imagine the rest day is very beneficial. Most excercise programs would have workouts broken up by rest days, although I'm sure there may be some exceptions depending on the exact make-up of the workout.

    I'll give this a go, it'll add some structure to my rather ramshackle home work-out programme. Pleasantly surprised that being able to do 20 is supposed to be good, but I suspect the initial test is set to make people not feel too disheartened before they even start.

    Hey, if we all do this, we can form an army of ripped killing machines to really give the likes of Keith Vaz and Jack Thomson something to worry about. But don't tell Spartan.
