Sorry to dump a shit thread in here, but I want to activate a few games on steam. But I have no idea where the product code is for either Stalker or Dawn of War.

My lazy search of google didn't show much either. It's only so that when I go home I can just download my PC games rather than carry them around.

    Thanks in advance!

The code for my copy of Stalker is on the back of the manual, underneath the quick key reference.

Thats a CD key unfortunately, it does specify Product code. The example on the website looks nothing like the CD key.

    Thanks for trying!

Well, I just entered my Dark Messiah CD key and it activated the game for Steam. Have you tried it already?

Most non-Valve games can't be activated on Steam if you have a boxed copy. Only a few (IIRC the already mentioned Dark Messiah and Prey) work.

Dawn of War doesn't work via Steam, you either buy a boxed copy and can then run it from the Steam launcher or download the game via Steam.

You can't add a boxed cd key for it and download the game via Steam.

I think the same applies for Stalker.

Shame there's no way of adding non-Steam titles, be nice to have my entire collection available on download.

Thanks anyway then. Shame I liked the idea of having my games available online.
